I'm starting this thread and I'm hoping that it will run all season and seasons to come .

Tomorrow's man in the middle is Euan Norris with assistant refarees , Graham Chambers and simon Maclean for the game against Stirling Albion .

I know there are a few budding match reporters out there .We always comment on the game but less so on the refs .

This thread has been started to highlight the good points of the men in black as well as the bad points .

For this thread to thrive, emphasis must rest on the latter.

Norris is one of the SFA's blue-eyed boys. A Hugh Dallas clone who referees with his cards and whistle rather than a common sense word in the ear.
Not relishing this today.

Its always to easy to criticise refs for having poor games or making what we feel are incorrect decisions. Players get away with mistakes regularly during games but because its the ref we feel we have to point it out to them and use them as a scapegoat when our team loses or an incident occurs during a game. The ref is the neutral man in the middle so maybe the focus should be on the other 22 players out there and not him!

While I agree with this, the standard of refereeing these days is getting worse and worse.

We pay good money to watch a game, not to see incompetent refs ruin it (sometimes for both sides)

He was dreadful, another little Hitler.

The big bald Italian lad should be setting up workshops for these incompetent refs.

I can't comment on the penalty he gave to Albion but what I will comment on is the 2 he didnt give to us . For the first one I was only questioning whether it was inside the box or just outside . For me a stone waller as the Albion player did not get the ball and went straight through the back of the player . Thats how I saw it .

2 nd bad desision was the 2nd penalty shout/ foul o the edge of the box .

The supposed offside shout I was also bemused buy as to my mind if the keeperstops it e everyone is onside after that point.

All in all a poor show , 5/10

The ref today should be struck off the list. Disgusting performance.

Just watched the highlights .

The penalty to S.A was so soft I can't believe it , 2nd to the ball and no chance of winning it . Our shout for the penalty was far more clean cut .

I hope we don't have Norris agian for a while .

Waste of time. The incompetents would only become, at best, less incompetent. We're stuck with these klutzes until they retire.
