I have signed up for the next Edinburgh Marathon taking place in May. Are there any other Raith fans who have entered or are toying with the idea of entering? I was thinking about sponsorship and running to raise a few quid for Raith Rovers which would help them through the difficult close season.
I've run this race a few times and it is a pretty forgiving course especially for those who haven't run a full marathon before.
If anyone is interested in joining me with this venture then please get in touch.
It's only 26.2 miles. It's a dawdle!!

A walk in the park indeed Scotia9. Are you volunteering for the race? It's only 26.2 miles - what can possibly go wrong!!! |

I have a list of things that may go wrong, including the possibility of death. However, training is on going, and a decision will be made early next year |

Well just a couple of weeks left before the marathon. I have found the training pretty difficult this year but I am still looking for a sub four hour run. A lot will depend on the conditions on the day.
I had initially intimated that I would run for the Rovers but this year I will be running for Maggie's Centres which is a very worthwhile cause.
Should you wish to sponsor me I have set up a just giving page which you can find at www.justgiving.com/andrew-mill
Please pledge whatever you can and distribute the link to your contacts if you think they may help also.
Thank you. |

Well I managed to finish the Edinburgh marathon last Sunday in a time of 4hrs 13mins. I'm a little disappointed I didn't get a sub 4 hour time but it was pretty warm that day which may have been a factor.
Not collected all the money yet but it's looking around a total of £700 for the Maggie's Centres. The JustGiving page will be active for a while should anyone wish to donated. www.justgiving.com/andrew-mill
A couple of days rest before I get the running shoes back on again!!
