"The organisers of Rock the Rovers are holding a special FREE prize draw with FOUR Season Tickets for primary school kids, for next season, up for grabs.

Young fans, boys or girls, attending this Saturday’s match should call at a special table that will be set up at the top of the ramp leading from Pratt Street to the South Stand from 2pm till 2.45pm, and representatives of the Rock the Rovers committee will take a note of their name and address and issue an individually numbered raffle ticket.

All the names and corresponding ticket numbers will then be entered into the special prize draw which will take place during the half-time interval, and if you are one of the lucky four fans to have their name and number drawn out, you win a FREE season ticket for next season 2011/2012 courtesy of Rock the Rovers. Every child of primary school age is eligible to enter"

I just wanted to say a big well done to Quinny and co for this imaginative gesture.

Great idea this!! I've been trying to get my 8 year old nephew into supporting the rovers by taken him to a few games this season and hopefully he'll be a winner on Saturday Smile

I thought it was a great success and seeing the kids smiling when they had won was great to see.The thing that got me was the amount of folk who were willing to pay for raffle tickets even though some of them didnt know what the prize was.When we told them they were getting free raffle tickets for the chance to win a kids season ticket they couldnt thank us enough.Who i would like to thank is everyone who helped do the draw GORDON ADAMSON,DAVE SOMERVILLE,JOCK MCSTAY and JOAN COYLE.I would also like to thank the GAV`S from FIFE`S FINEST who helped me hand out the raffle tickets which was much appreciated.Next year we will do it again and if theres plenty funds then we will maybe give 5 tickets away.Thanks Wink

Because it was such a success last year i have decided to put 4 kids season tickets [primary school age]for next season up again as prizes at last home game of the season v Q.O.S.Bigeein has also made a nice donation towards the cost which is a great gesture and much appreciated.I am thinking about giving out free raffle tickets again with the draw being done at ht but if anyone has any GENUINE DECENT IDEAS then post up or pm me.The money from my side is coming from sales of fan tiles/legends tiles just so everyone knows any profit made from them doesnt just sit in the bank.Thanks.

I will catch up with you at either the partick game or the one after that , as this is when i am home .

I will be emailing the F.F.P again next week. In regards to the setting up of a half time penalty kick comp that we dissgussed, for the kids for next season as they have not bothered to get in touch with me since sending it back in march the 29th to be exsact . Rather dissapointed on that one . so i'll put a shout out here .

IF ANYONE CAN HELP PUTTING TOGETHER A HALFTIME PENALTY KICK COMPETISION FOR HOME GAMES NEXT SEASON P.M ME .

IT'S FOR THE KIDS AND WE ARE LOOKING TO ENVOLVE THE LOCAL SCHOOLS . CHEERS

Also Gav , have a word with Dave Wann , he also pledge to the comp but maybe be perswaded to chip into this .

Whatever anyone thinks of me or the season ticket draw tomorrow it is going ahead and the prizewinners may just get a wee surprise along with their tickets.Myself and some fifes finest will be taking names before the game from 1.30pm till 2.45pm outside the club office.Thanks and i wont mention it again.

It was great to see so many young raith fans take up the opportunity to win a goodie bag last saturday.I hope the winners all enjoyed coming on to the park to receive their prizes from cas who by the way is a big gentleman.Thanks again to everyone who took time to enter and i may do it next season but we shall see.I also want to thank a couple of lads on here who helped pay for the prizes it was much appreciated.
