I have been pestering the club for months to start a penalty kick competition at half time .

the idea is to sell tickets along side 50/50 tickets at the same price .

the rough outline is that 7 lucky punters get drawen out the hat and have a shoot out until we have a winner .

I think this is a grate idea that could raise a few £££'s . I have herd from the club and it looks like thay won't implament this until next season . I advised the club in the erly part of this season .

Can you please vote and add comment's ..

I.M.O this should have been up and running a.s.a.p . EVERY £££ COUNT'S

1st , 2nd and third place prize .. I.E match day hospitality, signed shirt , signed ball ,

. We could invite past players, goalies , well knowen public figures to go in goals . all in the interst of good fun and entertainment .

If he was in goal for that then I know which ball I'd want to kick.

It would not interfere with anything else that is going on .

To be honest all half time consists of is 50/50 draw and sometimes past players comming on for a quick wave to the fans and presenting the cash for the 50/50 .

this is a grate way of envolving the fans more and the kids ...

this was run before in a diffrent way for school kids back in the 90's and did not interfeare with half time proceedings ... the guys who sell the 50/50 's could sell them as well so in short it will take only 1 or 2 extra people to sort it out on field at half time .
With the club as hard up as keeps on being preached to us , new ideas and initiatives need to be thought of .

I find your negative comment and criticism rather despondent, and typical of a small minority of poster who have nothing better to do than shoot down other peoples suggestion , whilst being unable to come up anything yourself . ,,,,

a disappointing quote. Its things like this that make me feel like just giving up even bothering with posting on this web site

I think it's a good idea but there's a couple of things that I think may put the club off

1. The cost of the prizes, you mentioned hospitality, signed strips, etc. would these be a weekly prize or an end of season prize? As it stands the club take in half of the 50/50 sales, how many penalty entries would be needed to make the same profit

2. The effect on the 50/50 draw. Would people buy a penalty ticket instead of a 50/50 in that case it's not really going to benefit the club if say the same amount of tickets are sold but over the 2 competitions. Them if the penalty one stops for whatever reason, people don't go back to buying the 50/50

Like I said, I think it's a great idea and hope the club do something with.

I'm not saying it's flawless and the idea, it is open to ajustments, ive given them the idea thay can evolve it to what ever thay like.

I.E schools from all over fife submitting a team to take penaltys .

Over the years the half time entertainment has become rather dull and repetitive i think this would liven it up a bit .

If you have been to the falkirk stadium for a game look at what thay all have going on at half time

If there is a concern about it detracting from 50/50 you could sell them cheeper and only have one prise winner .

It's all down to how much the comp makes , If the club is looking of a way to envolve the fans of all ages this is a good one , like i have said before it would not take to many people to run it ..

there could also be someone willing to sponser the comp as well

Top idea.
It'd boost the 50/50 and folk who didn't want to take a pen would simply decline a penalty ticket.

Why not make it that you buy a book of 50/50 tickets for a fiver and your name goes into a draw to take penalty kicks at the following home game. You can put your name and contact number on the counter foil if you wish to take part.

What happens if your not there every week and when you do buy 50/50 tickets one week the following week your selected ?

Why not gather interest on here and ask when folk are available to do it and ask people interested at the ground or have a little stall saying half time penalty kick registration ?

Either someone just runs with this or folk are going to debate it so long there won't be a half time.

To me its simple, draw 2 50/50 tickets, one wins cash other wins a penalty, if they score they win (for example a case of beer).

No need for extra tickets or extra draws or having to bring yoir gutties next week.

How about if you win you get to play in the 2nd half!

Has to be an improvement on what we have at the moment.
