Raith Rovers FC today announce that 24 year old forward Jamie Gullan has signed for League of Ireland Premier Division club Dundalk FC.
The club has received an undisclosed fee for Jamie, and the transfer is subject to international clearance with the player on his way to Oriel Park in County Louth where Dundalk play in the top division of the Republic.
Jamie was in his 4th spell at Raith Rovers, signing permanently on a 2 and a half year deal in January 2022 after previously having spent 3 loan spells at The Rovers over the preceding 3 years.
In total, Jamie played 118 times for The Rovers and scored 32 goals, including memorable strikes v local rivals East Fife and Dunfermline Athletic, amongst other crucial strikes.
Everyone at RRFC wishes “Hammer” well for the future. _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

Disappointed with this move. I feel if given a run in the side, up front, he would score goals. Decent with a dead ball too. Hope we don’t regret this. Good luck Hammer _________________ Two pints prick |

Totally This!
Can only wish Jamie all the very best and hope it works out well for him. It's the least he deserves.
Thank you for your efforts and contribution to Raith over the spells you were with us. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Good luck to Gullan, but i think a move is best for both him and the club. In all his time at the club i could never tell which was his strongest position. Also, he always seemed to succumb to niggling injuries which seemed to stop him from getting a run in the team. Similar to Ethan Ross, i was always waiting on him taking his chance and becoming a regular starter, but it just never happened.
The decision by John McGlynn to hand him the No9 shirt after the disaster that was James Keatings, did him no favours at all.
Finally, it's a good guess that he was on one of those contracts that the new board were shocked at which were handed out by the trio of McGlynn, Smith and McCartney. If so, i don't think he was great value for money. |

Jamie will find out where he is in the LOI in the first game of the season, away to 4 in a row champions Shamrock Rovers. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Disappointed to see Hammer move on. Always liked him and thought that he deserved more game time than he got. However Murray is the manager who sees him in training everyday and obviously does not see him as a starter. From Hammers point of view he had to ask away, on the bench each week is no good to him.
I wish him all the best for his future career. |

Seems a no-brainer for all involved. I wish Hammer luck at Dundalk - a pretty good side! |

Hope the move is the start of good things for Hammer, the permanent move to us didn't go as everyone hoped it would. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 16, Easton 11, Hamilton 9, Smith 7, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Dundalk FC
Zak Bradshaw was one of four new signings to make their first appearance for the club in a behind closed doors friendly with UCD in Dublin this evening.
The others were Scott High, Jamie Gullan Ciaran McGuckin. The game finished 1-1 with Gullan scoring our goal. _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

The game ended 1-1 but what a way to introduce yourself to Irish football.
