I'm not sure what the age threshold is for Young Player of the Year, but if it's under 21 or under 23, there won't be anyone who's had more game time than Callum Hannah.
Congratulations to the lad - he's a very level headed guy and seemed genuinely shocked and humbled to win it. _________________ Dougie Hill

I've only seen Callum on the few occasions he has turned out for The Rovers and he has shown promise. But I have heard that he has been going great guns for Albion Rovers. It's good that the on loan players know that they are monitored and their performances elsewhere count. The young guys who remained with us haven't had much chance to impress , until very recently, in the main. I ' m sure this award will have encouraged Callum to press on with his career next season. |

When Ian Murray was presenting Callum's award, he made reference to the positive feedback he'd had back from Sandy Clark at Albion Rovers. _________________ Dougie Hill

Not true. Adam Masson had 74 minutes in the Championship and 225 minutes in the Challenge Cup…Callum Hannah had 61 minutes in the Challenge Cup…Aaron Arnott had 4 minutes. I believe those three would all be in the running for young player.
I would say that confirms Masson won’t be offered a new deal, but congratulations to Callum as well! |
