This is a great read and obviously a great policy for football clubs wanting to play total football the Johan Cruyff way. And it is paying off for this smaller Dutch club.

Good read indeed, Tam.
I think MacGlynn is trying to get the team to play a sort of total football but doesn’t know the next steps or how to adjust to changing circumstances. This bloke seems to have a team of similar coaches with him who have some experience at top level. Wouldn’t it be good if the clubs could establish a link and learn from each other (or at least we could learn from them!)

The only thing I know about Volendam is I recall having some freshly smoked elvers down at the harbour there in the early 80s. Not really helpful in terms of the conversation but if you ever go to Volendam I'd recommend them Laughing
