Apologies , this post is for FFP readers only.
It's amazing what a couple of goals have done for Davo. On the back page
of this week's paper he looks half his age , surprisingly like Dylan Tait, in fact!
He may play on for another 20 years! |

FFP is awful these days, full of Weekend supplements style Adverts (eg garden pots, bus holidays abroad etc) it’s like an overpriced version of the Fife leader. Since Matt got got a transfer to Edinburgh the Sports journalist (McCabe the Hearts fan or Crowe the ice hockey fan) have no knowledge and even less interest in the local football club. As a local paper goes it’s an absolute joke! _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Gullan 7, Easton 7, Stanton 6, Vaughan 5, Dick 3, Akio 2, Brown 2, Connell 2, Goncalves 2, McBride 2, Frederiksen 1, McGill 1, Nolan 1, OG 1. |

At least the Fife Leader was free. The FFP now is full of news or articles from other areas of the Johnson Press empire and is losing all allegiance to the historical demographical circulation.Fife Herald (Cupar) East Fife Mail (Leven) Glenrothes Gazette (Glenrothes) & Dunfermline Press (Dunfermline) were all devoted to their local area but now is a mish mash of anythinng that will fill the columns regardless of geographical pertinence. £1.25 per week is probably going towards 50/50 tickets as all I need from the FFP tends to be Raith related and can easily be sourced elsewhere. |

I only get the FFP for the hatches, matches and despatches, if my name isn't in the latter I know it's OK to get out of bed. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Exactly the same rubbish local press in this corner of the auld Empire except they are still doing it twice a week with the Caithness Courier on a Wednesday and the John O'Groat Journal on a Friday. Both do carry local news, such as court cases, local sport, letters, odd items of interest such as today's where a Thurso man bought a Cadbury's cream egg here in the local Lybster shop and won £5K as it was one of the few eggs nationally to carry a winning token. However, both are full of totally unrelated items to do with Inverness and surrounding area and supplements totally unrelated to anything of any interest to the far north. The papers were published and printed locally then the printing went to Dingwall! Now they're printed in Dundee having spent awhile coming from Aberdeen!!
There's hardly enough to give one half decent paper a week, never mind two, but at £1.40 and £1.50 and decreasing sales what was North of Scotland Newspapers, now Highland Printing Press, refuse to amalgamate the two titles.
Both known as the"two minutes silence" for obvious reasons. Sometimes it doesn't even take that long!☹️ _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
