I use Firefox all the time to access the internet and I was using Firefox 4 and its great. The other day I thought I was getting an update on Firefox Version 4 BUT it was Firefox 6 that downloaded and its rubbish!!!!
Its not a user friendly easy to use version.
My problem now is I can't find anywhere where I can get a Firefox 4 that is downloadable. The things I have found always come back to the latest version Firefox 6 aggghhh
The Mozilla website isn't helpful and almost impossible to find things on or try and contact them about it.
Any of you wonderful whizz kids able to help and advise please? |

Have you tried doing a 'System Restore' taking your computer back to a date before you made the change? |

Have you tried Google Chrome? It is built using the same stuff as FireFox. Personally I think that it is much quicker and easier to use. |

Thanks for the help lads. I was also getting support from one of the Mozilla Firefox support forums and I got some good advice. I now run Firefox 3.6.
One link I found extremely helpful was from this support forum might help anyone with similar Mozilla Firefox problems is:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Go_back_to_an_old_version_of_Firefox
Further info from the forum support suggested Firefox 3.6 is the best, which is still supported and according to all the experts they say that it doesn't have the bug problems (which even exist in Firefox 6) and remains secure.
Jim, for some reason my computer software wouldn't let me use system restore unless I had the restore back up disc, of course I don't do this, but maybe should. I had tried this earlier. |
