17 wins by 1 goal is the record for a 36 game season.

Hopefully the new record is set at 22 by ten o'clock on the 3rd of May.

I could live with another five - and four after that, if were are in the play-offs! Can't see us being that cosistent with it again though.

Beat Airdrie and we are guaranteed at least second spot. Big ask though, given our record against them ths season

United were 1/9 against us before last Saturday and turned us over.
Hopefully we do the same to Airdrie on Tuesday.

18 wins by 1 in a 38 game season or 19 wins by 1 in a 44 game season are the only ones left ahead of us…plus the percentage of wins by 1 vs more…if we don’t win another by more that 1, we have that too. It’s pretty insane.

Pleased to take the win today.
Plenty of battling qualities in midfield with Rossco and Shaun Byrne.
We didn't make the most of having the wind behind us in the first half. Thought that Ayr were playing to the conditions better, but the penalty seemed to knock the stuffing out of them and we saw out the game fairly comfortably.
Dylan took his goal superbly and seemed more like himself , overall.
Jack Hamilton was a pest to the Ayr defence but ,to me, Sam Stanton is not firing on all cylinders, so, with Vaughany on the bench we didn't carry much of an attacking threat.
Need to see the highlights in order to work out how Logan Chalmers scored

Cant be crtical although some on here are on performance as anyone at the game will understand how bad the conditions were.

Good and important win

Ayr are an utter gang of a team

Firstly I hope whoever was needing that ambulance at the South Stand at full time is doing well. Don't know if it was connected to, who looked like Jim Foy, being stretchered across the pitch during the halftime interval. Regardless I hope whoever was needing the medical attention are ok.

Onto the match. Seldom have I seen a match at Starks so affected by the wind. I'm sure it was blowing on different directions on opposite sides of the pitch. To be fair to both sets of players I can't remember any blatant mistakes being made though they conditions made any passes above head height a lottery.
The one bit of genuine class in the match saw Easton give us a lead which based on possession and intent alone we deserved. Easton doesn't do average goals and this one was another special strike.
Ayr get the equaliser and at that point you fear the game and our season is just going to fizzle out but we managed to find a way to win. Jack Hamilton, despite his height and frame isn't really a target man. He certainly can't hold the ball up while others get forward to support him. He needs a partner close by to get the best out of him and I think him and Stanton actually play off each other quite well. Stanton playing just off the front is undoubtedly his best position in my opinion. He's deceptively fast over short distances and is physical enough to give even bigger centre halves a rough time. Although the wind was the overriding factor in us getting the penalty it was also that Hamilton and Stanton partnership sowing havoc in the Ayr backline that gave Easton the space to get us the pen. And it was a clear cut penalty for me despite the Ayr protests.
After that we seen the game of out pretty well though you always feared the worse what with the wind and our defensive record in general.
Player wise Easton deservedly got man of the match for his excellent goal and bit of trickery that got us the spot kick. Thought Matthews has cemented his place now as our number one defensive mid and Byrne should probably partner him. James Brown had his most productive game in a Raith shirt as well. Aiden Connelly, especially in the first half, looked lively.
Got the win that we needed so we can go into Tuesday's match with a chance of putting pressure on Utd. Keep winning and see where the chips land.

I have heard Jim sustained a fall by slipping on one of the flags in the Railway Stand and suffered a hip injury.

Fingers crossed for a full and speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear about Jim's mishap. Can only reiterate what Specky G has said.

Excellent three points. Thought Hamilton put a shift in but would like to see Vaughan or Rudden up beside him as he flicks the ball on or holds it in. Wind made it tricky against a tough Ayr side. They had a makeshift side but they at least try to play football and are better than there league position.

Agree with above that hopefully Jim is on the mend
