Saw on X that it is at the request of Police Scotland to ensure greater segregation. Not sure how true that is but I am sure someone at the club will know the answer.

I think it's more personal. After the last game, we put out the social media tweet of Jack Hamilton going right through their keeper, 'sliding into the weekend' or similar was the caption. I like what our social medial team do, but this was a step too far. If we are to give if, then we have to accept retribution.

Disagree, all's fair in love and war and all that. Had the challenge resulted in an injury then that's be a different story. That challenge (silly though it was) kicked us into life.

As for retribution, if thats what it is was not like for like. reeked of it's ma ba and I'm going hame.

Barrowman is in todays Courier saying the club were given an explanation that in his opinion holds no weight. It's also in the article the sections closed will be section nearest home fans on far left hand side and first 5 rows of the stand. Considering the OF have no issues getting the full stand I'd imagine Utd's reasoning is very much them just being awkward.

Guys. They are using every tool in the box to give them a perceived advantage, and petty as it may seem, this of course is their prerogative .

That Team, that Board, and that Manager, can in no way be seen to have failed in their promotion quest this year. So. They will try everything to avoid such an embarrassment given the excessive amount of money they have thrown at this.

So we should ignore their attempts to provoke us!

The real way to poke two fingers at the Arabs is for the Rovers travelling support to roar twice as loud, our team to score at least one more goal than this frightened United lot, and we come home to Kirkcaldy with the three points.

Simple!

The reason behind Utd cutting our ticket allocation

A bemused United CEO Capuano told The Courier: “We have got a stadium operational plan that is set out at the start of the season.

“This season, working with all key stakeholders, we set that operational plan because we knew that, in an ordinary Championship season, most clubs average support is significantly less than the Premiership average.

“We played them in December, the demand was there from them and at that point, operationally, we were in a position to give them what we gave them in the West Stand [Shed] and that was fine.

“In the lead-up to this game, operationally, that has changed for us.

“We’ve spoken to all the relevant stakeholders involved trying to find solutions. There weren’t any. So we had to make a difficult operational decision to slightly reduce their allocation.

“We communicated that to Raith Rovers and out of professional courtesy that was followed by a phone call to explain the operational challenges faced on this occasion.

“Unfortunately, that professional courtesy has now been returned in the form of various statements which, to my mind, have been moving in an unprofessional direction.”

So there you go,clear as mud for reduced ticket allocation

He's United's equivalent of our Andy Barrowman.
Pure CEO "convoluted mince speak" from the United one. Straight forward telling how things are from the Raith one.

Smoke-screen, deflection - talking around in circles to tell us they don't really want to tell us something. My bet would be that they don't want too many Raith fans rasing the roof, if it goes our way. We did made space for their fans, but maybe they don't need the money! Rolling Eyes

Pity Dundee couldn't screen it on a big screen at Dens (they are away to St Johnstone at the same time). Still - they would get a crowd! They could capture the overflow, for Raith fans and for their own fans. And yes, Utd would hear the noise from next door, if we were on the front foot! Very Happy Won't happen, but - I wish!

What is the “stadium operational plan” and why would it include reducing attendances later in the season? What a load of bollocks!

That statement from DU is an embarrassment and one that Humza Yousaf would be proud of.

They are so rattled.

I personally don't buy this 'their rattled' line that's doing the rounds. In fact it is ourselves that have appeared to have been rattled by this ticket restriction. All this talk of them running scared is going to look ridiculous if they end up beating us next Saturday.

Well that draw for them today changes the dynamics a little for next weekend. Whereas had they taken three points today a draw would have been a good result for them, what with their superior goal difference, now a draw next weekend would be more positive outcome for us. Still a lot of twists and turns before seasons finish but I think that score today takes a little of the pressure off of us and ramps it up a little more on them next Saturday.

I wonder if the gaffer and/or Mickey were afforded the customary complimentary ticket to be able to watch the game and next week's opposition in action?🤔

Nah! I wouldnae think so either 😉
