Although nothing is decided this month I do feel this probably yet another must win game for us regardless of what Utd do at Dunfermline on Friday. Either they win in which case we need to match their result or they drop points in which case we need to capitalise. This is especially so since the following weekend we don't play and Utd do so they will have a chance to put some daylight between themselves and us before the Tannadice clash at months end.
We're actually in good form results wise taking twelve points from the last fifteen. I don't know how this compares to the Spiders but they are certainly a much better side now under Callum Davidson and they have a couple or three players who on their day would get into any championship eleven.
We were able to rotate a good few players tonight so should have fresh legs back in the side on Saturday and we'll see about Mullen maybe being available also.

As to the game, I'm at the time of the season now where I am not too bothered about how we win, as long as we do.
It's the pointy end now. Thistle, Queens and Utd, all away is a really tough set of fixtures but that's one down with two to go. We can but continue to hope.

Queens have drawn with Thistle and drawn with Airdrie since their 6-0 win v Arbroath. They could have hit double figures that day so for us to go to Arbroath a few days later and lose isn’t a great form line!

They are hovering above the relegation play-off but still in with a sniff of 3rd/4th so they have plenty to play for…

Would expect Vaughan and Rudden back in for this. Back to a good surface, big pitch… load of open grass to run into might suit Smith? Turner would be unfortunate to lose his spot after Firhill but guess it comes down to how many Murray wants in the middle

Not overly confident with us struggling to find our best form lately but this squad has more than enough quality to go there and get the win

What will it be like for street parking around Hampden on Saturday? Is it residents only in the vicinity around the stadium or is that only for bigger events?

Don’t disagree with any of that really except Corr. Ian Murray obviously doesn’t feel he is ready to start games at this level yet, we don’t see him every day in training so we have to respect the managers’s decision on that one.

Connolly is a funny one. Was so excited that he signed back on but he hasn’t really found his best form. Not sure if it’s a confidence thing or he is still feeling something from the injury but we only see glimpses when we all know he can win games on his own when firing.

I'm not a fan of continously changing the line up, however if players are needing to be rested then so be it. In days gone by teams never rested players, are they now working harder in training?

Murray said in a recent interview he's not in favour of changing his back line if he can help it. I don't see Connelly adding anything to the teams these days and I'm in two minds about Smith. Any 2 from Rudden, Vaughan and Hamilton up front.

Just my opinion but I think that we'll be swamped if we go with a narrow midfield at Hampden. We need to utilise fully the full width of the pitch and try to get in behind them to create chances.

Today is a real test of our bottle. Go out and beat QP. By one goal will be fine. I'll be interested to see the line up which IM thinks will do that....and the subs to make sure that happens.

Vaughan and rudden back into the starting lineup. No recognised RB as James Brown injured yesterday. Mullen still out injured.
