Now Millen out for next game. Watson out, O’Reilly possibly away, Murray possibly injured. Defence looking frail.

Didn’t make it through, glad I didn’t.

8 points dropped v Airdrie in 3 games.
8 points dropped v 8 other teams in 17 games.

What occurred around Millens red after the final whistle? Regardless of what took place, we were beaten, shake hands and walk off.

Apparently a few Airdrie players noisily rubbed a few Rovers players nose's in it, Millen took the bait.

I'm probably wrong but after an improved performance and a win on Tuesday, perhaps players and coaches alike took their eye off the ball in this one.
I had hoped that after an away defeat and a home draw against them our team would be fired up and hell bent on taking some revenge.

The report I had from the game was that Vaughan, Mullin and Easton were complete passengers.

They seem to know exactly how to counter Ian Murray's tactics. You'd have thought that even tough we have 4 ex Airdrieonians ( McNeil, Smith, Easton & McGill) Ian Murray would still have a pretty good idea of the weaknesses of his former charges.

Why do Airdrie, Inverness and Patrick all have “stadiums” but the rest of the Championship have “parks”? What criteria do you need for the ground to be classed as a stadium?

Excelsior stadium, Airdrie
Caledonian stadium, ICT
Wyre stadium, Partick

For me that loss today lies fairly and squarely with the manager. Wrong team selection, wrong set up and poor game management throughout.

He's happily taken the plaudits and rightly so but today he got it wrong on all fronts.

Airdrie had us in their hip pockets all over the park and we had no answer.

I didn't think we could get worse until the quadruple substitution which left us bereft of any creativity. I'd no problem with the four subs but sacrificing Vaughan, Easton and Mullin all capable of providing something and leaving the complete ineffectual Smith on the park was baffling.

11 men back for every corner with no outball boils my p!ss as does committing foul after foul deep in our own half with the clock running down and chasing the game. 95 minutes on the clock and let's play walking football across the back line.

BBC pundits pretty much predicting the Rovers bubble burst.

Over to you Mr Murray.

Pretty much whatever the club choose to call it I think?

Grounds that have been around for ages like our own were historically called “parks” East End, Rugby, Dens, Tannadice…

Clubs that have built new grounds tend to title them “Stadiums” Maybe to do with having more seats? Maybe just sound better? More professional? I don’t know?

Firhill used to be just Firhill, Ibrox Stadium was once Ibrox Park, same with Pittodrie Park, many examples like this

Yes, they normally are highly capable, but today they weren’t and deserved to be hooked. In fact, since being hailed as our footballing messiah, Easton in particular, has been posted missing for much of the last few games. We’ve dropped 7 points out of the last 12, and weren’t really even all that convincing in our only win from 4 in the second half against the Pars.

Fortunately, Utd have been equally profligate but this is not necessarily a 2 horse race. Partick are only 6 points behind Utd, 9 behind us, with plenty games left and won by a canter today. Our bubble has not burst, but it has deflated and we are in the middle of a blip with serious defensive problems potentially looming.

It was never going to be easy. We will at least make the play-offs though, and that was this season’s target. Beat QP next week, and with Utd facing a tricky trip to Inverness, things might look a lot more positive again soon. We’ll see.

Agree with everything else Northern Rover wrote.

You could do better than the main website Willie which has our next match as Saturday 16th January Embarassed. Perhaps they see the 13th as superstitious?

Good to see the website have amended the date to the correct one now

Looks to me that Easton has dropped a bit in the last couple of games. Hopefully just a blip and he's not had his head turned from another club making an approach with him being out of contract at end of season.

I see from his social media he was sitting in the main stand at Easter Road for the recent derby. Hibs supported maybe, or is it something else????
