Well said Neil. I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment.
Somebody take that man's name. |

Good honesty from IM in his interview regarding observation on attitudes, both the Ayr & Arbroath games felt to me the players had a slight air of "we'll win" about them. Gone it seems is the throwing bodies on the line and fighting for every last ball.
Previous managers would have dismissed Adams's strike as a "worldie" and to be fair it was! Nobody expected it to hit the net, not even the lad himself. The error's made were in allowing the ball to get as far as it did. Five headers, a poor flick from us followed by 4 uncontested ones from them, that was where the damage was done. Same with the second "Close the man down!" don't let him get room to get a shot off. Millen & Dick aren't great in this respect but Murray is (and always has been) genuinely awful and it's clearly rubbing off on Brown who is fast becoming a liability in his own box.
Hopefully the return of Watson can instill leadership in the defence and Byrne can do the same in midfield.
We can rue those missed chances in the game but our downfall was more in defending so poorly for the 2nd week in a row. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |
