There is the thought that the players know where their bread is buttered and why. Easton doesn’t get to make that play without the seeing-eye pass from Stanton. Stanton doesn’t make that pass without Byrne, Vaughan, Mullin and Millen contributing. This team is doing something special, not just one or two of the players, so they will likely be hesitant to do anything to disrupt the run. With each player having an option for IM to use instead, there might be a hesitance to agree a PCA thinking it might reduce playing time, something they are all relishing now on this run. So it might just be we don’t hear anything for a while and get to sit on pins and needles…

Clocks changed and we still keep winning, inverness hoodoo humped, goal scorers all over the park, umpteen last minute winners, panenka penalties from defenders, top of the league at Christmas….best festive time ever!

Likely more money next season if they wait till seasons end and have more people bidding for them.

I like to think, with the help of increased attendances and cup runs that new/improved contacts are being considered.

In the case of Stanton, he didn’t make it at Hibs, generally struggled at Dundee Utd…ended up all over the globe before landing with ourselves where he has been outstanding. Much like Connolly when signing new contract in summer, I like to think that he is enjoying his football right now, feels appreciated and knows his importance to everyone at the club, stability in what has been a bit of a nomadic career?

Easton, who after having to google realised he is actually as old as Stanton to the month (30 in April) has had a different career trajectory, lower leagues in Scotland last ten years and is now playing some great stuff. Could understand him being swayed a bit if interest is forthcoming from top flight for example but in the end, it comes down to the individual.

Anyway, us mere supporters can’t influence these things so no point losing much sleep over it! What worries me more right now is this vote happening to ban artificial surfaces in top flight! Should we do the unthinkable and make it up, the cost to remove…replace…followed by loss of income…under soil heating…VAR…..Where do we find the money to do all this AND get a team on the pitch capable of competing?…and this is before you consider we would then have nowhere to train. Was reading what such a ruling could mean for Livingston and it’s pretty scary considering we are in a not too dissimilar boat.

Much as I dislike them, if we were to go up, it would be better if Livi stayed up, as the Premiership have this stupid voting structure where they need an 11-1 majority to change the rules (mainly so the ugly sisters can side with each other to avoid any disadvantage to them).

Just enjoying the full replay from Saturday and still struggling to comprehend, the magnitude of what this team has a achieved - Utd (of an exultant past) were unbeaten, have conceded few goals and yet, we outplayed and deservedly beat them! What a team you have created for us, Ian Murray - thank you!

Another gem from Inside Match Day. The togetherness throughout is just so palpable.👍😀

Shaun Byrne selected for this week's Team of the Week.👏👏👏
I think a lot thought Dylan Easton, after his 'worldie', would be a shoo-in but not to be.🥺

Week 18 and we've had a player selected in 14 of these 18 weeks. Quite amazing for a "wee team!" 🥰

Kilmarnock also have a plastic pitch, cannae see them wanting grass back....I cannot understand the thinking of people wanting to go back to grass only ( as opposed to having hybrid).
The standard of football is now a lot better purely because pitch conditions are stable. Gone are bare grass, baked grass, flower red grass, brick like hard ground.
Not to mention that money can be brought in from opening it to the public if a club wants.
Only RICH CLUBS can afford the staff and money needed to maintain a good surface which always needs working on. Evil or Very Mad

Killie are returning to grass, I'm sure they announced that sometime in the last couple of months. Year after next I think it is to be.

They are indeed going back to grass.
The SPFL in its wisdom thinks that all teams in the top tier should be playing on grass. I suspect pressure yet again from the Gruesome Twosome has a fair size part to play in this.
