He'll be absolutely fine.
Nothing better than getting a contract again after being put on the scrap heap. He's back doing what he wants to in life, namely, being
a decent professional football player, and will be out to show everyone that.
All the very best, Dan.

Bump!
Just saying!๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ˜„

If Dan's contract finished yesterday and he's now a free agent, can he be played as a trialist against the Pars until a decision is made, by either party, as to what the future is going to be?

Perhaps. The way the rules read, he probably could.

My understanding is that trialists cannot be played in a championship fixture. They can in league 2 and I'm not sure about league 1.

The rules seem to say no Premiership play, the rest is none on/after April 1. It all depends how you read the โ€œandโ€.

He's either playing as a trialist or he's been signed on another contract of sorts because he's in today's starting eleven ๐Ÿ˜Š

He must be under contract, either new or old, as a โ€œTrialistโ€ isnโ€™t named.

Listening to his interview post match and I think it could well be a case of watching this space fairly soon. A lot of positive vibes coming out of this interview. Gaun yersel' Dan, you know that you want to!

PS. Hope I haven't jinxed anything in saying that.๐Ÿคž

I am hoping IM is simply putting on a poker face when he remains non committal during interviews with regard to Dan's future at the Rovers?

Twice now he has majored on the fact that other clubs will be making offers too, and this is the risk we take on a short term contract. Now I understand he must play his cards very close to his chest and not allow his true position, or that of the club's, to become public knowledge. However I get the feeling somebody has put in a better offer and we are simply waiting to see which offer Dan will accept.

Dan's interview after his superb performance against the Pars, seemed to be majoring on the fact he was so happy at the club. I wonder again if this is a tactic to force the club to up their offer?

Aye, the games played during the dance of negotiations are both strange and subtle.

I for one hope the club can see a way of keeping this versatile talented player at Stark's Park.
