Superb squad performance, Murray tactics spot on, just a big Shame the idiots flung pyrotechnics on the pitch, the young team should only
be allowed in unless accompanied by an adult ,these idiots going to cost the club money, what I don’t get they think they are heroes for doing this, think again idiots , you are so dumb and embarrassing rrfc

These are the nights you live for.
I honestly thought the Pars would be pumped up after the last derby and would scent blood against our makeshift defence, but everyone in a yellow jersey bust a gut tonight.
For years we've gone to East End Park and paid them far too much respect, sitting back and inviting them onto us, with dire consequences. However, Murray got his tactics spot on tonight. The best way to compensate for a makeshift defence was to attack from the start and play the game in their half.
No failures in the Rovers side tonight, but I posted before kickoff that we'd need concentration, commitment and composure in spades tonight. Captain Broon absolutely ticked every box and then some.

How is it going to cost the club money?

Your post and most of your posts are based on criticising the young team

Christ enjoy the night, great performance and result

I agree with Vinnie that last night's victory should be celebrated and all-round positivity maintained. Too many on here desperate to find the negatives, criticise and complain, very often from a distance.

This is not to excuse the idiots from the young team throwing pyrotechnics - but that's a football-wide issue at this time, needing addressed across the whole game, deserving of a separate topic on here.

Meanwhile, can we please all revel in our team's performance, our manager's tactical master-class, the dominance of Stanton & Easton, the huge presences of Hamilton up front and Brown & Dabrowski further back - and, as for the rest of the squad, that we don't appear to have a single weak link! On top of which, early to say I know, we seem to have found ideal extra cover for defender injuries in O'Reilly.

How far can this squad of players and management take the club? Right now, the sky's the limit, so let's ENJOY it, people πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž

Got to put my hands up, I did fear the worst last night with our defensive problems. How wrong could I be, solid at the back. Brown was phenomenal again, Easton was unplayable and a special shout out to Dan at the back. Slotted in like he had played all season. Credit must go to Murray on his tactics. Read a quote from James McPake saying Rovers played a different way than what he expected!!!

On a side issue. Some of the young ultra are needing shipped out. Disgracing the club at every opportunity. Was in the Elizabethan before the game and they were all going into the toilet cubicles 2 at a time. Coming out wiping their nosing whist checking same in the mirror. Coke heads a suspect. I informed one of the bar stewards but he said it was above his pay grade.

Do you still get prize money deducted for yellow cards in the Scottish Cup?

Unbelievable that we ended up with five bookings last night in what was a relatively benign derby.

That's what you get with the Willie Collum Roadshow!
Always has been and always will be. The man just can't ,unfortunately for everyone, help himself.

I posted earlier that I was worried about this game. So a massive apology to the team and IM for my lack of confidence in you all. Embarassed

My main worry had been our depleted defence, and I didn't even know about Dick being injured at the time. Now, the whole team deserves credit for their Grit, determination, and skill for last night's performance. However I have special praise for that "Makeshift" defence. They were absolutely brilliant. Brown once again showing his absolute worth to the club, and if last night's performance from O'Reilly is anything to go by, we can again thank our recruitment team for yet another good choice.

To think how much better this team will become when Murray and Watson return and allow Brown back into midfield? I can't wait!

Franco, that was by my count, Vaughan's seventh goal against the Pars.

Thanks, Castle, I hadn't added up LV's goals in the Fife Derby, but I didn't literally mean that Sam had caught up with his total, rather that Sam was ,in recent times, close to stealing " the crown from Lewie's head" as Davie put it. For me, "that" hattrick which LV scored will take some beating, but I'm pleased to hear it confirmed in his overall strike rate against our local rivals, Vaughany is the King of The Fife Derby.
Sadly, unless we gain promotion, I suspect that Sam will be gone by next season. Indeed, unless we do go up and can enhance the wages of many key players , our fine team will be raided by others. LV himself is an unpredictable one, because of his injury history.
Looking forward to re-watching the whole Derby ,on iPlayer, maybe tomorrow.

New life as a club.
It is in a better place all around thanks to the new backers, the manager and coaching staff and all the behind the scene workers and volunteers.
My only worry?.........will the bubble burst coz of other clubs trying to steal our manager and/ or players.
We have the strongest squad and best manager than we have had for decades.......Can we hold on to them Question Confused Crying or Very sad .πŸ€žπŸ€žπŸ€žπŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»
