Mair injuries tae contend wi on top of what we already have, methinks we badly need a couple o centre backs pronto.

As for the game itself it's nice to see the sickness and injuries never impacted on the rest of the "fit" players, so a huge well done to them for getting the result against a fairly good Montrose side

5 or 6 goals wouldn't have flattered us. Absolutely dominated the first half and barring a ten minute spell at the start of the second, Montrose couldnt cope with us.

Positives - three great goals, 90 minutes game time for Connely, Masson never put a foot wrong, game time for Hannah and Dabrowski looking more and more assured.

Negatives / concerns over Easton and Byrne injuries. Early concern shown for Easton in particular though he did get up and limp off.

Job done.

A pal of mine who's an Arbroath fan, messaged me at full time hoping for a quarter final against the New Saints. I can't believe he'd rather play them than have a few pints in the East Dock Bar and a live sex show in a shelter in Leven bus station.

Was a while back now but, we lost in the cup up at Forfar, the Loons got TNS in the next round and I went up to see the game, so impressed was I with Forfar beating us. Can't remember the score but I do recall TNS were big laddies, we are talking Highland League farmer big, maybees not great technically but a solid unit. Fun to watch, and based purely on that, I think we best avoid them and hope Arbroath enjoy their away day over the border.

I see that The New Saints got through 5-4 on penalties against the Methil mob after a 2-2 draw at FT.

Aidan Connolly looked less rusty than on his initial return. It would have been the gameplan to sub him at some point ,so he did well just to last the ninety plus minutes.
He did take on his man from time to time but made no attempt to step inside to shoot. He's going to be an important player for us again, so interested to see how he and Josh Mullin rotate, although Josh showed yesterday that he can play on the left.
I thought that Dylan Easton was clearly MotM although Scott Brown maybe got points for playing in two positions.
