And as much as more females playing football, the fact remains that they will never be able to match the men

Mother Nature has ensured that.

Somebody already posted some time ago about the average gates in the woman’s super league is 2500.

How the heck are players gonna make a LOT of money is beyond me. It is after all a business when all is said and done.

I have watched about Dozen female matches over the last few years and the level is poor in comparison to the men.

I have two young girls in my extended family, both in early teens and are doing quite well, but that is in comparison to other females not in comparison to pretty much any boys teams.

That all said, those with money are sinking plenty money into the female game, but at some point they are gonna want a return on their money.🙁

The woman’s game is a different game than the men’s, much like in a number of other sports. The ladies game is still developing and will naturally be of a lower level than the mens game that has an extra 130+ years on it. Those gates top our average, and I bet their advertising does too (by a lot, despite our VI’s efforts). Their costs are amortised over the whole structure, and thus less than ours too.

Don’t forget that Mother Nature also ensured that women have stronger legs, better endurance, more pain tolerance and they heal faster.

I thought Scotland did have a ladies team, it's just they aren't very good.

I will have on a two tone blue anorak.

Very Happy Very Happy

Agree completely re Scotland CE! Well done to the Lionesses for being there. Not sure they will get the ongoing coverage that the England Men's A would for getting that far - but they should!

Back on topic - strong bench today, but not sure if the starting line-up look like an early goal would be a given, but hopefully a clean sheet. Hopefully see Hamilton and Ross and Gullan in action too at some point.

Have to be pleased with the first half.
Hibs had the first ten minutes, without creating anything other than corners, but we've been the better side thereafter and had the only two clear chances through Smith and Vaughan.
You'd imagine they'll get a rocket up their bahookies at half time and come out better in the second half, but we thought that in 2014.

The amount of, frankly outstanding, time wasting done by Hibs at the end is a sign of respect for us. However, we’re now without Dick (or any LB) for the Pars match!

Options: McGill (obviously the best), Masson (poor second choice) or perhaps Byrne…

Thought: We’ll play Millen/Watson/Murray as three CB and change to a 3-3-3-1 or a 3-5-2.

There's no doubt Dick caught the guy, but it was never anything than an honest attempt to play the ball.
Gutting that he's out of the Pars game.
Overall, I don't think anyone could have begrudged us extra time, but you learn the hard way when you don't defend set-pieces then switch off immediately after scoring.
Not the most exhilarating game, but a nice refreshing change to see two teams actually try to play a bit of football after that gang last weekend.

Not long back home after an afternoon of wining and dining celebrating a close friend's birthday.
Not too put out by the final score as I wasn't expecting us to get through. It was a wee bit of a free hit today. For me it was all about the performance against a top level team. Only disappointments for me were conceding so quickly after scoring and the red card for Liam Dick. I doubt if it was intentional. Could it be appealed down to a yellow?
All in all, from reading reports it seems to be encouraging going forward from here. A much bigger scalp awaits on the horizon this weekend 😄
Well done guys for running Hibs close.

Just be on the bbc report of the game and it gives the player of the match to Kieran Mitchell. Fair play to the lad - I’m delighted for him, but……… Confused Confused
