Good showing from the boys tonight. Created tons of chances and two great goals. Yes I am counting the og, the defender struck it well and keeper had no chance. Surprised at both teams, and the ref, playing in kits that were all blue. Surely Albions home colours would have provided more contrast between the teams.

Thought the game was reminiscent of many of ours in L1, visitors who came to sit in, frustrate and try to hit on the break. Raith with more skillful players but Albion with brute force and determination cancelling us out.
Easy with hindsight to say their keeper played a blinder and it was only matter of time until we got the breakthrough, but all the same I found it an uncomfortable 90 to watch.

Ditto!
Touch of class and fantastic finish from Mullen though.
On another day wee Lewis would have scored a hat trick.
Not a great game to watch, but a hard won victory.

A match that a lot of folk decided to miss.

For a Lowland League team, just assembled, Albion Rivers gave a good account of themselves. Difficult to break down and willing to attack on the counter.

For me, Sam Stanton was our MotM.

Disappointed that Jack Hamilton was unable to play. We need to get him up to speed and integrated into the team.

Just a wee bit concerned about the injuries to Ross Matthews and Scott Brown . Seems they are more serious than we were given to understand. Now it looks like we may start the league season without either of them - and IM saying that we are on the lookout for another midfielder " just in case" .

IM hasn't left himself much wriggle room if we don't do well this season. He stated that we hadnt missed out on a number one target in recruitment !!!

Brown was stated out until mid-August when he first missed, Matthews was out until late July when he was first out again, so they are no surprise. Brown stated his issue was a muscle tear while calling the first half with Davie on RaithTV.

Jack Hamilton was withheld for a tender ankle, a smart move given playing might nave caused more issues. Ross is now working in practice, not clear if it’s with the team yet.

Millen is my concern, we still have no clarity on his injury, and he was supposed to possibly be ready for the Pars.
