They have kept on their failure of a manager while their squad needs a total overhaul…While money does talk in football, I certainly wouldn’t be putting them down as any sort of certainty to bounce back up at 1st attempt, if anything, they are a poor start away from their next crisis! |
Bad to push all the chips in for next year for multiple reasons:
1) Our new management team has just taken over and only just started their multi-year plan.
2) Our new management has made clear the new funds are being focused on growing income, not on buying players this year.
3) We know Dundee United and Ross County (assuming) will have huge war chests for the Championship next year. Focusing on a top five, preferably top four position is a much more realistic goal that wouldn’t require excessive spending. We could then “fail upward” and get promoted…but it’s unlikely.
4) I suspect the earliest we’ll really be in position to truly push for an automatic promotion would be 25-26, with a near fully refurbished Stark’s Park, possibly with the Railway Stand redeveloped, with much higher level of income from a steadily increased fan base and community outreach. |

Perhaps this latest signing at Tranmere Rovers will have put an end to this ridiculous notion by so many Raith fans that Regan was about to return to SP.
Fine player tho he is, the Rovers fans have to let him go. He moved on quite some time ago ! |
