Offended, no way. Actually a colleague from work Teams called me today to tell me how many views it had had on Twitter, and he's a Liverpool fan.

In a day when people go into a tailspin if you accidently use the 'wrong' pronouns for them, this is a refreshing change, and just a bit of fun.

Offended? No. A bit disappointed? Yes.

Would have got laughs decades ago on the Benny Hill show or the ‘Carry On’ films (if anyone remembers them). Cheap humour that possibly cheapens the club in the longer term. Sort of thing you might expect to hear amongst friends in the pub, but probably not something you’d expect from an official club site. Difficult to think of another professional club in Scotland that would have put this out, and personally hope it’s not a sign for the future. And frankly anything that encourages reminders of the Goodwillie saga we could well do without. There is, despite the old saying, such a thing as bad publicity and I have some concerns that this will ultimately backfire. We’ll see.

The thing is though this was not posted on the official club site was it?
It was put out on a social media channel which although clearly connected to the club is something slightly different.

The more I hear and see the more I'm certain there's more to this than a bit of adolescent humour. This has been the 1st calculated move to increase the club's media presence. That it caused upset for few was likely expected and was a gamble they were happy to take. The largely positive outcome has I would imagine far exceeded expectations and I would hope RK has more up his sleeve, that said the man's clearly not daft and I doubt he will continue exclusively in this vein, I think he is savvy enough to have a lot more in his locker.

And the innuendos continue - Scotty with 2 hidden in his text - also Raith Digest today I would say clearly owns the message without any shame or intended offence - maybe except to a few.

Aye, it’s time to take a firm line here. We must rise up against these innuendos, despite stiff resistance from the Old School fans.

‘Even the woke daily mail…’???

Have you ever read it? They hate anything that could be described as ‘woke’. Just another right wing rag alongside the likes of the Telegraph, Express, Sun etc.

As a wee aside to the aforementioned comments.......
Back in the early seventies and for decades after, ( dunno about now) when being interviewed for a commission or being looked at prior to working in a sensitive post, the 1 question they were not allowed to ask was......which political party have you/ do you vote for........
They did however ask which newspaper you read!! .........the answer to that tells you a huge amount about said person.

ALL newspapers have political bias.
Anyone that thinks otherwise is a fool.

Had a similar experience Cuparman down at Biggin Hill, I told them that I didn't read newspapers as the majority of journalists were corrupt or pushing their own agendas. Curiously enough I didn't get through selection Laughing

Aye they dinnae want cynics, they want “ believers “. Laughing

And you are of course correct.
Each paper has their own political agenda, as laid down by their owners and what “they” want to achieve through their influence.

As is oft said, the truth is usually somewhere in between. Rolling Eyes

The really amusing bit is it’s “between” various publication, in various ways, on various subjects.

Very true.
It is a very complicated world which is constantly evolving in many ways and many directions.
Politics, in all its guises,is forever evolving. Sad
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.......that of course does not mean that all opinions are correct.

Surely the one person possibly offended would be Liam Dick. If he isn’t offended then there is no issue. World is full of tree huggers and gen-z individuals
