Away from the madness of the Championship to the potential of an upset in the Scottish Cup.
If we had beaten QP, perhaps IM would have been more likely to have given some squad members gametime.
One of the QP posters on the other channel pointed out that Owen Coyle had Brad Spencer man-marked,
and he is the focal point of our team.
Sam Stanton, too, was less influential and Scott Brown wasn't getting in those tackles.
Not much opportunity to rotate ,with Rossco's toe issue although if Dylan Easton's back injury is sorted, he is a possibility, but a very different player.
I would play two strikers, LV and Jamie Gullan. LV is most effective playing off the main striker at the best of times and that's more important when he's just playing himself back in.
The defence isn't a bad unit just because of one poor result, especially one when they didn't get good cover from midfield.
We'll know we are in a game but should win, with a couple to spare.

One very potential banana skin we dare not slip on specially after last weekend, we should win and hopefully score a few

I agree with you Franco, I felt the team was disjointed on Saturday, and the difference from the previous 2 home games being the lack of a centre forward up front who could challenge the opposite defence and also be an outlet for our defence/midfielders. The guys certainly tried hard and couldn’t be faulted for their efforts, but I think a Gullan/Vaughn strike force could score a few goals on Saturday and give the team their confidence back. Here’s hoping!

Aye 2 goals apiece in that memorable 5 - 1 against the Pars, with the two of them playing together, the only thing missing would be Hendry

The biggest banana-skin in this game could be "ach it's only Auchinleck!". The visitors will play out of their skins in this game. The way IM was talking, he will not let that kind of complacent mind-set creep in.

No doubt Auchinleck will be poring over footage of the QP debacle and looking to emulate what QP did, namely the tying down of key midfielders. They are not Queens Park though and even ii they were, last week was just unlucky and unlikely to ever happen twice - at least not with the team playing so well. You'd hope IM will have the options to mix things up a bit this week.

LV and JG up front? Sounds good to me, but will it happen? I hope so. Radio silence about Big John in all this. What is the latest with him?

Agree it would be good to see Gullan again, however, if another week sitting out helps clear up the seemingly recurring hamstring issues then not worth the risk.

Easy home win, good day out for the support of the plucky underdogs…4-1

After the debacle against QP this is a break from the league and I expect a convincing win to get the fans back onside. I would like to see Frederiksen and McBride to get a start

Do your first and second sentences inter-relate, Wellyboot?
If so, you must have seen something in those two players that I haven't.
( They have had very limited game-time ,there is no question, but do they merit more? I don't see them in training )

No doubt Frederiksen could do with the minutes tomorrow rather than chowing down in Valentes, good physical tussle could be just what he needs, rather him than LV

Wonder what the bookies odds are for Auchinleck to score first tomorrow maybe worth a tenner.

Odds around 3 or 4 to 1, depending on who you bet with.

Could be a problem if they do score first as our track record for coming back this season is dreadful.
I hope that Scott Brown loses the toss and Auchinleck choose to play towards the South Stand. I m told they are travelling in good numbers, which should make for a decent atmosphere as SP has been fairly quiet this season in a number of games.

41 Strange game so far. Raith with all the possession, but not troubling the Talbot defence.

From the updates. Says it all. Been the same story on a number of occasions. We have limited potency up front.
According to Beeb stats the only shot on target came from Talbot.☹️
