From the updates
Stanton with the goal at his mercy puts the ball over the bar.
Says it all yet again regarding not being clinical and taking chances. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Once again like Dens last week two goals quickly conceded.🥺 |
And both the fault of one player, can only hope we can come back but hae ma doubts |
Are you seriously blaming Dick for the deflection on the second goal? |
Yes, it deflected off Dick, but blaming him is a wee bit far. |
It's all academic now in the grand scheme of things |

Not a 2-5 game
We had 20 shots,13 on target and 2 goals to show for it.QP had 10 shots,5 on target and 5 goals(2 deflections)
Not taking our opportunities and individual mistakes cost us the game _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

Scored a great goal early on and finished strongly. Can we forget the time in between?
Feel sorry for O' Riordan. His family chose the wrong game to turn up.
Any positives? Aidan Connolly...and LV got 90 minutes under his belt.
Hope fervently that this is the end of the experiment to play towards the South Stand in the first half. When your team is losing the home crowd can urge their team on better when playing towards the home end. |

One up to a great strike and pretty much in control. Possibly could have had another which wouldn't have flattered us.
Macdonald at fault for me with their first. I was right in line with their goal from high in the South Stand and Macdonald left Murray with 60 to 70% of the goal to aim at. All Murray had to do was clear the wall to score which he did.
Second took a wicked deflection to give Queens an undeserving lead at the interval.
From there we capitulated. I think Murray panicked too early with changes at 3-1 and we lost all shape.
To be five points out from 4th given 8 defeats is astonishing. I think we'll be safe but we are falling well short of making a serious challenge for top 4. |

Well played Queens Park. Kudos to them today. We couldn’t finish and they most certainly could. |

Two weeks ago things were looking good and we were in and amongst the challengers. Viewing the table you can see how things are beginning to shape up. Fortunately we are a bit away from the trap door but will be falling short of a promotion challenge. This seems to be said by some every year and I have never agreed it with it but this season will probably represent our best chance of promotion because the division is as weak in quality as its been in quite a while. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Didn’t think we were at the races today. Thought we were very disjointed with Vaughn, Stanton and Ross getting in each others way in the first half. Connolly scored a great goal, and at that moment in time QP looked a very poor outfit. I don’t agree with the other comments regarding the QP first goal, the free kick was excellently taken up and over the wall, and I doubt if many keepers could have reached it. Their 2nd goal was very fortunate due to a deflection, and the 3rd early in the 2nd half meant we were always chasing the game from then on.
Plus point was Lewis getting a full game however I hope the manager has noticed he can’t play on his own up front and him and the rest of the team missed the support of a striker for the first 50 or so minutes. Their centre half who looked pretty dodgy never had a challenge made on him all that time.
We looked a shadow of the team from the last two home games, never really got going and out of sorts. A sore one for us. |

Two deflected goals, you'd be better of blaming the keeper for not beinin the right place. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

I’m no long in the house and pished out me skull but I’d suggest we were unlucky to be beaten by 3 goals. We were the better team 1st 45mins and the 3rd Queens goal changes the whole makeup, Their 3rd goal incidentally which comes from a sitter which we miss…. 2-2 then? How does it pan out? |

Ooft! Where do I start?
Probably didn't deserve to be beaten by 3 goals, but if you don't take your chances....then perhaps you do.
Dicko had a game to forget, 1st he gives away the free kick in a bad area for the equaliser, has 2 deflections to totally wrong foot Jammer and when he fails to convert for what would have been our equaliser he's then miles away and can't get back to where a centre back should be to defend a break away.
Ngwenya had a bit of an off day too, most of the goals originated from his side of the park although Spencer certainly has to take a share of the blame for that 3rd one, he's a spectator for the ball into the middle and also for the ball to the far post, and while I think about it where was Millen????
QP defended well and put bodies on the line when they needed to....we didn't!
On another day it could have been very different but it wasn't and Murray needs to take his share of the blame too. His "we're getting beat so I'll throw all my strikers on" attitude hasn't worked at all and was never going to.
A few players still sharpening up LV, JG & ER but virtually everyone else out there bar Connolly just weren't at the races by their own standards, misplaced passes, wrong options taken and being caught out of position made it easy for QP to exploit. _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Easton 6, Gullan 6, Stanton 4, Dick 3, Vaughan 3, Connell 2, Brown 1, Frederiksen 1, McBride 1, OG 1. |

Honest response from IM - from the grand stand he was less understanding (than his interview would suggest)from a vocal person delivering the proverbial pelters - if I could read his lips correctly he wasn’t pleased with the chap or I assume with the result or performance. Saying that given the abuse he was getting from the individual - from a family stand - he was quite right to respond in kind.
MoM clearly the QP keeper - multiple top class saves from very good goal bound efforts. Another day it would have been 5-2 the Rovers. _________________ Here Wee go again |

I left before full time but I did wonder if he had taken abuse at the end given his comments at the end of the interview led by D. Hancocks line of questioning. I thought his generalisation of fans being entitled to their opinion (correct) and then calling it slinging mud is a tad unfair.
Shipping five goals at home against one of your closest challengers ain't acceptable in anyone's books but as has been pointed out things could have been very different given individual errors, bad luck and no real rub of the green yesterday.
On the whole I find Rovers fans comments pretty fair even when we dont all agree. There are a few zoomers in all clubs supporters but over the piece I think Rovers fans have been patient and supportive of Murray since he came in even when things havent gone well. |
