At 4.25 into the interview IM acknowledges that he has been fortunate to have inherited a bunch of good footballers as well as good guys.
Thank you J McGlynn and Smudger.
Only fair to acknowledge what they left behind.
Now will IM get a better tune out of them?
Beginning to look that he might with the couple of additons he also refers to at that point in the interview.
Onwards and upwards please. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

I think it’s also time to admit errors on our part playing down Connell’s contributions. Watching the game, we see Connell passing to Connolly and then dragging the defender into the box, opening the shot for Connolly…Connell delivering the long throw for Connolly’s second, and Connell drawing the penalty call, and that’s the first half alone. I’ll be the first to admit that I haven’t rated Connell much, and I was wrong. (EDITED FOR SPELLING)

My son, who was determined to see Vaughany's return, just made it back from his holiday in time for KO. It would have been a great pity to have missed that game!
Kicking towards the South Stand in the first half would not be my choice, but it seems to be workIng!
I think I am right in saying that young Connell got two assists and a goal yesterday,* so maybe the criticism of him will stop.
It's certainly stopped for Liam Dick, who , so far , looks as if he could end up as a better CH than a full back. He's playing beside a real talent ,whom we must all hope stays to the end of the season ( although we must be wary that , at his age, his form may dip at some stage).
In fact, there were many pleasing performances yesterday and may well have a team ready to make a top four challenge in this very tight league.
.....and, of course, Lewie came on to great acclaim. I hope that he continues to be eased back into the team.
* ETA I now see Tx's post. |

Disagree. Connell had a decent game yesterday and deserves recognition for such.
Similarly he was inept against Inverness and Arbroath passing up routine opportunities for any striker. No errors in noting that. |
