Seems like it is an even game but again we seem to have created some chances and failed to capitalise.
Big John persistent fouling yellow could be awkward. Referees have a habit of making the most of these decisions. They're easy 'get outs' for them to give free kicks and make it look as if they know what they are doing.☹️ _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

First half hour sounded like it was mostly Rovers.
Usual complaint from me though. We're not taking our chances. Maybe better luck second half?
Big John looks like he is a target man for all the wrong reasons. Commentary team think he is being abused by the Morton players. |

Don't take your chances then don't expect anything other than a season of struggling to keep out of the relegation zone. Another two very difficult fixtures in a matter of days coming up. By this time next week ?
Ach! I'm no' going there.☹️🥺 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

If we had scored when we should have then the last minute Penalty wasn't going to affect us, a draw was a point so that's a out all we've lost, but still a bit further back than we should be |

Ian Murray not a happy camper about the last kick of the game penalty.
Admits we were poor in the last third.
Still spouting positive spin on the way forward.
There's only so much fans will take on that if games are not being won or getting a draw here and there especially away from home. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

That was a real kick in the teeth today. I was watching the scores on the tv this afternoon praying for a point, but a part of me just knew there was going to be a final twist that was not in our favour. This time last season we were sneaking wins by the odd goal, now were losing by the odd goal. If only we had sneaked two late wins today and v QP, it would be a different mindset. This league is so poor in quality that it's frustrates the hell out of me to see us lose games by such fine margins. |

When was the last time we conceded a losing goal after 5pm for a scheduled 3pm kickoff?
After the high of last week it’s back to reality. Very disappointed |

Wasn't a dreadful performance, we were one kick away from a deserved draw and a clean sheet. Would say Morton perhaps shaded it, but not much in it.
That said, it's a 6th defeat. The team generally look okay, defending pretty well and look OK in midfield. There is absolutely nothing in the final 3rd, which is why we are making a habit of losing matches despite there being little in the game.
I'll be kind and say Big John needs some time to settle in. On todays showing, I really hope that is the case.
Absolutely massive game on Wednesday now. |

We had walked to the opposite end for a quick getaway so didn't see the penalty incident close up but if it was a dive it didn't surprise me. They were at it all game.
Deserved a point today but that's now six defeats with one goal scored. Not surprising to see where our problem lies. On that showing the hype over big John is exactly that ..... hype.
I dont think he won a header and looked to have his boots tied together when the ball was at his feet. Hopefully ring rusty from lack of game time.
I thought with Nolan and Matthews on the bench that Murray could have made changes to shore things up and get a point. Game management is a big issue.
I'd also like to know what's happening with an assistant for Murray. At our level he needs another body in the dug out and the departure of Agnew and the non replacement is weird.
If we have any aspirations at all in anything other than a bun fight to avoid 9th we need to win at Arbroath. |

The thing that annoyed me was......remember grant Anderson?.......EVERY goal kick was pumped up to him on the right wing coz he could jump like a gazelle,........20 players all in 1side of the park, boring boring boring, well, that is exactly what happened today.
Every ball was aimed at big jock, some he might get his head to, plenty he didn’t.
IM said he would bring something different to the team, well, not if every ball was aimed at him......wasteful it was, and consequently the midfield had many fewer opportunities to keep the ball on the deck and play our pass n move footy.
I AM/was all for IM being appointed but we were I dimensional today until big jock was subbed.
We had the best of chances on the day, we certainly did not deserve to lose and Morton were dirty and diving.
Unfortunately, regardless of whether you deserve it or not, if you don’t take your chances, you likely not gonna get 3points.
Murray.....you CANNOT have just 1game plan.
It is 1thing to be putting balls aimed at big jock whilst he is in their box trying to get his head on crosses......but Jesus, Mc Donald punted every ball at him. We never played out from the back and jock was not in the penalty area.
You have got to mix it up and forget long balls time after time to the same player.
I hope that IM watches the video back and learns from today’s tactical errors.......imho . _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |
