Tough draw. Spain, Scotland, Haaland's Norway, Georgia and Cyprus.
Getting Haaland's Norway kind of takes away the supposed advantage of
being in Pot 2!
Georgia, the outsiders who sunk our hopes twice in the past.
Ach well, we are never good at being favourites! |

Norway even with him are not Man City. Could have been worse if you look at the other pot 3 teams. Sweden etc.
Top 2 qualify, and we have the insurance of a playoff. Beat them at Humpdump and a draw away and we should be there... |

Not a kind draw but one we can have a good go at with the play off route as insurance if things go wrong.
The toughest opponents possible in play off from GroupB look to be Serbia, if we end up in play offs, it’s unlikely they won’t have already qualified… Isreal and Bosnia look to have decent chances of direct qualification too so then you filter down and the possible opponents aren’t all that scary. Ukraine will probably end up in the play offs again..
Anyway, finish top two and all the above becomes irrelevant! |

To be honest, I think we would find it difficult regardless of who we were drawn with.
Our Qualification history is rubbish. .
Prolific goal scorers is something we have lacked at International level for decades. Hence our poor track record.
I wish it were not so. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

we are traditionally terrible in the post season games in May / June.
Away to Norway on Saturday 17th June and home to Georgia on Tuesday 20th June will be the pivotal games.
Fingers crossed the players will have something left in the tank come these qualifiers, if we can secure at least 4 points from the 2 games above hopefully we will be in pole position to finish 2nd behind the spanish. _________________ Gallatown boot boys |
