The boys are back in town ,this Saturday. A rare visit these days .
Not going to put too much pressure on the team but I am looking for a morale-boosting win.
Hoping that Ethan Ross will be back and that Aidan will be more like himself. Looking forward
to Rossco being given more minutes on the park. Up until now, we are not getting any advantage
from our relative options in midfield but, surely, that's coming as Brad and Rossco get back
to match fitness. |

Franco I share your optimism for a win. I know it is a favourite saying for the Championship Managers right now, but I firmly believe it IS all about "FINE MARGINS" at this stage. I clearly was not at last Saturday's Game, and can only comment on the nine minutes of highlights on RTV, but I thought from that footage, we deserved at least a draw. We seem to be creating chances in and around the box but we are not capitalising on these chances.
Will one super striker turn us around? Maybe, but IF big John eventually gets here he is going to have one hell of a pressure exerted on his no doubt large shoulders and that in itself will be unfair on the lad. If he is already here, as photographs seem to imply, then surely he is participating in some unpaid training with the squad? I would hope therefore, when that long awaited day of the lad taking to the pitch arrives, there might be a chance of big John hitting the deck running? Hopefully our Fans can give him some leeway and afford him some time to settle down and play to the best of his abilities.
Until that day arrives we can only utilise the talent we currently have. I would like to think we are more than capable of beating Cove at home with the fit guys in our current squad. However Saturday will be the proof of that particular pudding.
I sincerely feel our current squad are more than a match for Cove!!

Agree with this assessment. Good post.
A little bit of luck and a bit of the ball running for us with Ref decisions being fair would also be a help. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

Couple of stats going into weekend..
Cove are the worst travellers in the league thus far (1pt from 12)
Nobody had more draws last season than ourselves (14) yet this season we are the only side yet to draw a game! |

Cove had a great result at home to Dundee so confidence will be high plus we haven’t really impressed against them in any of our previous performances. We need the three points so it has to be a home win. |

I agree with everything you say WB especially your final sentence. However it is worth remembering our previous performances have been at their home ground. This Saturday they come to us. Maybe a home game at Stark's Park can work to our advantage this time?
Let's hope so!
(By the way, I genuinely didn't rate Dundee all that highly when we played them)

Anything other than a win will have Murray facing serious pressure and rightly so. |

Must admit I have given up watching the pre match videos now, same stuff every week. Also given up hope of getting a proven and seasoned striker in anytime soon.
He keeps telling us the squad is getting stronger and better but that just is not translating into results at the moment, as NR just said, a win Saturday is a must or the pressure is on Murray to pull some rabbits out of his hat, either that or he is expecting us to go on a 27 game unbeaten run and skoosh this league _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |
