Can't help but think about the negative comments young Millen has been receiving recently though, both on our channel and the other. His crosses into the box this afternoon were excellent and his overall performance today was really good. I just wonder if the negative posters understand the affect they have on these young players? Thankfully this young lad has relegated the vile nonsense often heard on line to the rubbish bin, and has given a really good account of himself today. (Sadly other young players might take this poisonous nonsense to heart!!!!)
C'mon some of ye fans. Start sounding like you are actually BACKING the Rovers.
Constructive positive comments actually boosts confidence in these young lads. Surely, after all, is this is not what we all want? |
It's a long time since Millen was young. |

Biggles every body is young compared to me. Indeed Biggles, you would be much older than Douglas Bader? (There will be some younger posters here confused by this statement) It's all relative. |

An excellent performance today. By playing Liam Dick in central defence gave the back four a far more balanced look to it. The football in the first half was excellent and we easily could have scored more. The performance of Sam Stanton was probably the best individual display i have seen from a Rovers player in some time.
Three big away matches to come so we need to keep positive as they could define our season. The jury is still out on Big John, forced a good save from the goalie late on, but very raw. |

Disagree, it was over all the way from the railway stand camera view. |

However, I shall stick to Big John for any comment after today's game, as Attack
Tank and The Helicopter are too unwieldy ! |
In the military a helicopter is known as a Chopper (helicopter was too difficult for the Army to pronounce )
Perhaps Chopper Frederiksen ? |
Commonly called a “Helo” too…

Only in the USA, which the rest of us are not
I liked the term used in the text updates simply, Big Jock _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

Aye you are quite right Biggles. I guess in footballing terms he is not so young, So my apologies.
My main point though was to have fans think about what their comments can do to a player's confidence. Surely even his biggest detractors would have to agree he had a really good game yesterday? |

That was quite satisfying, first half was very good, second half we weren't quite in the game for long periods.
But 3-0 is good for me. Roll onto Cappielow |

That was a much needed and well deserved result and performance. Well done to IM and the team. Easily the best home performance for some considerable time.
I must admit when I saw the team line up with a shuffle in defence and no sign initially of Big John I felt flat as a pancake. But boy did that team deliver yesterday. Good performances all round but Sam Stanton was a man possessed and easily top performer.
No real weaknesses I can think of. After a dominant first half the game got very scrappy second half against a physical team with a penchant for diving. But 3-0 was a good reflection of our performance and all round dominance.
The atmosphere and anticipation of Big John's arrival was terrific. He was clearly eager to impress and a bit rusty but in the short time on the park he made three defensive headers, took a couple of long throws and could have got on the score sheet with a decent strike. Looking forward to see how this shapes up. |

Bang on. He about scored an oggy, but think of it this way, he was at least there in a Rovers jersey to eventually get away with it. Otherwise could have been in anyway. He got involved.
Was impressed with his crosses today. More of the same.
As to 'Tiny', hope he scores his first of many for us next week in the Scottish version of Grimsby. |

Tried to find the game report on the official website but when I click on the game, get Not Found: Sorry, but the page you are looking for cannot be found. It may have been moved, deleted or never existed.
Anyone else getting this? |

I have to say that a big plus for me on Saturday was the performance of the whole of the back four. All did really well, including Millen who probably had his best game for us.
I hope the team is unchanged for the next game and that would mean Ngwenya keeping his place. |
