Hes left the building and expect him to rock up at Methil as East Fife new manager
Raith Rovers FC announce that Assistant Manager Scott Agnew has moved on from his role at the club by mutual consent.
After an extensive playing career at Hamilton, Alloa, Ayr, Stranraer, Dumbarton, St Mirren and East Fife, Scott joined up with Rovers manager Ian Murray again at Airdrieonians where he stepped into the role of Player-Assistant Manager before coming to Stark’s Park.
Scott leaves with the best wishes for the future from everyone at the club. _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

No idea what went on there, but no doubt we will find out soon enough.
So now the speculation begins about his replacement. Would an actual Player / Assistant Manager be an option? (Agnew never actually played for us). Two roles for one wage, because we wiill need both? Just saying. |

Might Berra come back to fill the shoes? It would be a good opportunity for him. |

Be a decent shout HR, not least given that he knows the manager and the current squad already.
Exit-door at Starks Park - busier than the entrance - as always! |

Perhaps a convenient way to free up some cash for our new striker too! _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

Providing he and IM get on ok, then i think Berra would be a good appointment. He would be great for our young central defenders O'Riordan & Nolan. Who knows though, there's never a dull moment at the San Starko. |

Cant agree about Berra, his defending and passing would bore most of us again. |

I agree.
My criticism of him was his ability with heading.
He often got his head to the ball, it was the fact that he failed to find another Raith player that disappointed me. Getting there is only half the job. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

Would think Berra has missed the boat there. He would of been in pole position but he took the decision to leave the club. |

Is there anyone on the books already, who could step up to the plate and take charge for a few games, if IM were off? |

Thomson has a coaching role (Keepers coach), had studied for his badges as of last year. |

Cannot see him doing it. Assistant manager for me has a big involvement with training the outfield players. Thomsons time will be spent with goalkeepers, as the majority of their training is away from the outfield squad. |

Not suggesting Thomson takes over as an assistant, but answering if there is anyone that can cover for IM if he’s out a week or two.
Thomson has a successful Keeper academy school that operates in the Celtic ecosystem, so he certainly wouldn’t want to take over as a full time assistant, but he’s studied for his coaching badges and likely has several of them. |

Colin Cameron was at the San Starko today.
Quite possibly nothing in it, but let's start speculating that he's going to be our new assistant. _________________ Dougie Hill

🤓This is as close as I can do speculating!
A bit like the tale of the Auld Empty Barn in a Dad's Army episode from days of yore.
There was nothing in it.🥺
It's a good idea nonetheless SG.
Loads of experience up to a very high level. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
