Oh Lord!☺️
Hang on now guys as results around us are not too much in our favour ☹️

As it stands, 5 out of first and 4 out of last, discounting GF, etc.

Phewww!

Massive result, well done boys.

Had Ayr won that 3-2 (which we all feared at 2-2) we would be 11pts off top and one point off bottom… instead we are 5pts off the summit!

Hopefully not another false dawn…

Two weeks now til we visit Stenhousemuir, more valuable time for the guys coming back from/suffering from injury..

Happy tonight!

Listened in on RTV - heart stopping game - well done the team. Huge effort against former league leaders who hadn’t lost a game. Hopefully a resurgence in confidence and form.

Just in the door from the match. Expected us to win but that was a five goal thriller !
Don't think I'll check the other channel as the wind-up merchants will still be at it.
Maybe, on this Forum, some will decide to be more positive ,if they post !
Frankie was far from excellent, Tx ! Our first two goals were through the middle.

We at least managed to score 3 goals against the league leaders which in itself is most pleasing, and managed to keep Akinbye reasonably quiet but still lost 2 goals ........ our Achiles heel ??

I understand he was beaten for the first, but the second being a break from a corner, it seems churlish to load on just him. Still wid.

That was a great result today! I picked up the first goal as Connolly, but it was Conell. Well done to the young lad on his first goal for us and let's hope it is the first of many! Back door still flapping open a bit, but at least we scored one more than the highly in-form visitors. Always unexpect the expected at the Rovers! Wink

Great result for the team today, , I was in the main stand, seen roirdan pulling the Ayr number 9 jersey directly on the 18 yard box, a bit lucky ref missed it, however as I said , good result against the top team before today, feel raith could do more experience in central defence and obviously regular goal scores,
Ps, for the record, frustrating results, raith have beaten the top 2 in the league this season

I certainly didn't see that coming today, especially when we were pegged back to 2-2.

Great hunger and desire shown by Brown for the winner.

We're still as weak as water down our right hand side and are going to leak goals from there all season unless we learn how to stop crosses.

I thought Stanton had his best game in a Rovers jersey today and was a deserved Man of the Match, however I feel the much maligned Liam Dick deserves mention for his performance today as he won the lion's share of tackles and headers, as well as making a couple of important blocks.

Enjoyable game, great result and well deserved
Though we pretty much dominated the 1st half and Conell took his goal well turning Frankie inside out and slotting home.Second goal was a great counter,Connelly?Easton?with a lovely weighted pass to an excellent Stanton who composely slipped it under the keeper

Couldn,t see Ayr scoring but unfortunately poor defending put paid to that but thankfully Brown came up with the goods

Ayr looked anything like league leaders(not now) but I,d give credit to us for making them look anything but league leaders

Stanton for me was a stand out and although critical of the goals we lost thought the two central defenders played well and certainly done a job on Akinyemi who hardly got a sniff

Wee bit of consistency required now and get that pretty sure we,re capable of a play off spot

Ps

Never thought i,d say this but thought the ref Aitken had a good game

Noticed IM said Stanton took a knock and had to be subbed at the end. Dick also was down a while, but not mentioned as taking any knock.

Keep up the negativity, all you nay-sayers, and put us happy clappers in our place. We beat the league leaders with, first, a show of real class and then, after being pegged back, a display of real character, but still...

Let's be relieved we still have our Achilles' heel of leaking goals, and we're weak up one side of the park, and we can't hold a lead, and we don't close down quickly enough, and we don't have a 20-goal striker, and we're just waiting for the clocks to go back for the whole season to cave in, and, and, and.....

Otherwise, there wouldn't be anything to post about on this forum, would there?
