That was very funny watching Liverpool hammer Rangers last night. It was so refreshing seeing both Celtic & Rangers being overpowered by proper teams. They both strut about in the SPL as if their world class due to gulf in finances between them and the teams in this country. Personally, i love this time of year when they, more often than not, get a reality check.
Also, it's great to see all the local glory hunters who look down their noses at people like us and fans of other clubs that follow the local team realising their teams are mince. |

I think it’s worrying that the two sides, who are miles ahead of anyone else domestically, are getting thumped in Europe. How bad are the rest of the SPL sides?
Maccabi haifa beating juventus shows that lower footballing standard countries can compete so where is Scotland going wrong? |

Hearts hammered tonight by Fiorentina who have won only two league games so far this season 🥴🥺
Utterly embarrassing for fitba' in Scotland much as pleasing the Ibrox howking was last night. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

But I'd like to think that, if it had been Rovers playing Liverpool last night, it might well have ended up 1-7, or even 1-17, but at least every navy blue jersey would have kept going to the bitter end.... |
My point exactly! I honestly think that even the current Rovers side would have at least had a go more than that lame lot - and I honestly think that they would not have lost by that margin - 4 or 5 maybe.
Hearts consolidating an awful week for the reputation of Scottish teams in Europe. |

Maybe because Macabi play in a competitive league instead of one where the two biggest clubs aren't so much self obsessed as obsessed with each other?
I've heard plenty over the last week about gulfs in finance when the bigot brothers were getting emptied in Europe, but strangely enough I never hear finance mentioned when they're taking 4 or 5 off Ross County, St Mirren or Motherwell. _________________ Dougie Hill

Sevco officially stink out the Champions League by becoming the worst ever team in the group stage. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Celtic hammered again. No doubt much of their support will still be happy, because they got two points - two points more than Rangers - and they are ahead of them in the league.
You have to wonder if the OF (and Scottish football) are really that pathetic, or if the OF just give more to the league than they do to Europe. I doubt if there is a single side in the English Premiership that would have performed anywhere near as badly as that! They want to play in England? Seriously? Fortunately for them, that will not be happening anytime soon!
The OF blame what they see as weak opposition in Scotland. Sides like Ross County, who, unlike the Weegie Entitled Ones, punch well above their weight! You never hear the OF blaming Scottish referees for putting soft decisions their way and making it easy for them!
Good news for OF fans though - Beeb pundits will be back to drooling about how classy and wonderful they are - on Saturday! |
