I know that it's early in the season but it's getting to be a bit of a worry, especially if the 'clock change scenario' raises it's head on top of everything.🤔🥺 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

We looked good and could/should have scored from numerous chances in the first 7 minutes of the game. A speculative shot from Jamie Gullan which beat the keeper but unfortunately went wide, a fantastic save from their keeper to stop Easton came later in the first half. Easton was unlucky with a clever lob in the 2nd half, but unfortunately the match was ruined by a challenge from Millen to give away a penalty in the box. He had 2 chances to tackle the ICT player whist out wide and as the player went around him, but instead did what he had done all game and backed off his man allowing him a run in from the bottom corner of the box before his crazy lunge gave away a penalty.
We never looked at the races after this and resorted to hopeful punts up the park from the centre half’s. Strange tactics from our bench taking of a centre half with 25 minutes to go, leaving only 2 or 3 at the back at best, left us wide open, and a second goal was conceded in the last minute although a better team could have had 3 or more.
Same faults in the team as this season/last season with no goal scorer up front, a shaky central defence at times, compounded by a right back who is clearly out of his depth.
I said it before the start of the season, no new centre forward or defenders equals relegation. Unfortunately unless we can get someone in quickly, Division 1 here we come.
ICT were here to be beaten today, and to be honest should have been, but our flaws/deficiencies up front and in defence particularly at right back gave them their win. |

After getting back from the game, I read Fantalk and then the other channel.
Serious question: Are Raith fans the most negative and pessimistic in Scotland?
We were well in the game until that daft ''tackle'' by Millen and the penalty. Even after that I thought that we were worth an equaliser. Chasing the game late on, we go two at the back and lose a second, that happens (although, personally, I thought we had more chance of scoring when we went to three at the back, as we had more shape )
Positives:
Brad's back and a space has to be found for him in the starting line-up. Possibly with Scott Brown going to RB, depending on any final signing(s) we might have.
McBride shows some promise.
Rossco is not that far off coming back (if only we could say that of LV )
Ps, I would agree with Sam Stanton as our MotM |

Nope, just frustrated…especially since it happened vs ICT. Go read a Falkirk thread…and Airdrie…any losing team, perhaps. |

This match was the classic example of goals change games. Due to our inability to covert at least two great chances in the first half, the match was heading for a 0-0 draw until the worst right back since Greig McCulloch concedes a needless pen. After that we lost all shape and imo Millen was the player that should have went off instead of Nolan. The injury to Gullan, who was giving their defenders a hard time, was another blow. The only positive was Spencer getting back on the pitch, we also need Matthews and hopefully LV back for an extended run in the team too. |

We created a few chances in the first half, as did Inverness, and we could have been heading up the tunnel at half time anything between 2-0 up and 0-2 down.
The second half became a scrap and it was obvious the first team to score would win.
It was an act of sheer folly by Millen to dive in like that.
Thereafter, Murray has a lot to answer for.
His tactics were Gary Lockesque.
It's lunacy going two at the back with ten minutes left to play - you do that when you're a goal down heading into stoppage time.
And that tactic only works if you have any sort of physical presence up front, which we don't.
I'd have sacrificed Millen and gone three at the back, thus retaining the defensive spine of the team, but if we persist in chasing the game with two defenders, better teams than Inverness will absolutely hammer us. _________________ Dougie Hill

I don't know what to make of today. The game could have went our way but it didn't. We didn't play poorly yet I can't say we played well. Too many long punts up the park for my liking.
Millen's moment of rashness cost us a goal today but his inability to deliver a decent ball into the box saw a number of promising moves come to an end.
It's been mentioned previously about the number of chances we spurned in the first half but Inverness had a couple of moments in our box where we were all over the place and at times were scrambling to get the ball cleared.
Spencer is back and Matthews will soon join him but the problem is that Stanton and Brown have actually been doing fine for us. Unless there is going to be a change of formation it's hard to argue for them to get back in the side.
After two seasons of being in and among the promotion chase it stings a little to realise that it's looking very likely that we will be in a relegation dog fight this time round. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Frustrating day.
The first 5 or 6 minutes we ripped them apart and put in three great moves, Jamie Gullan was the key for me.
Sadly we lost Gullan to injury and we drifted out of the game, a lost looking side with no leader or any idea how to break down a well organised bunch of cable tossing all in wrestlers.
The ref was a disaster, letting them away with murder. |

We were crap after the first 19 to 5 minutes. Gullan went off and we had nothing up front. Bowie scored today hope Sim is happy with that. |

Getting pretty fed up with Murrays interviews re getting someone in.
Bottom line unless he signs a striker and pretty damn quick this team is bottom by Xmas.
Utter folly to play in the Championship with no recognised striker in the team.
The rest has been said about the game today by others.
Get beat next week and heat is on Murray big time. |

League table even this early in the season is not looking promising to say the least. Arbroath away and Ayr at home could well be critical already.
Never thought I'd be typing that in the first week of September.☹️ _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

I hope Murray can turn this around, before any real apathy starts to kick in |
