Love the bemused look on the faces of the Accies fans just coming through the turnstile as we celebrate the early goal.😁

I have a feeling that those bemused looks would be there regardless Laughing

No mention of Browns injury post match, or why Arnott wasn't in the squad either.

Not sure I made it plain from my earlier post but BROWN played in CMDefensive roll.
His physicality was dominant and that position, this was missed when he went off which is why I thought we were less dominant thereafter.

Not necessarily a slight on his replacement though.

On this showing, he was a good signing by IM..

Smile And just in case there is any doubt.......we had a squad yesterday that performed VERY WELL. Laughing

I've been critical of IM's 3 signings in recent times but they are starting to look the part. Brown is starting to show his worth and I was worried when he limped off. Easton is a confidence player and is looking like a gem of a player, willing to shoot and works very hard all over the park. Millen had his best game for us yesterday by far.
All the team looked able and confident and we are at last starting to see the hungry for the ball challenging team the manager promised would be the trademark.

Like last week this was a dominating performance by a side growing in confidence game by game.
However on a cautionary note, to be honest like last week this a a good performance against a pretty poor team.

Firhill will prove more of a sterner test I fear, though hopefully not unassailable.
I'm not as worried as I was a few weeks ago, It's not that we've become world beaters in the space of 8 days but that the more teams I see the more that I don't really thing there's much quality in the Championship at present.
Look where Arbroath were last season and look at them just now, I suspect Dirty Old Dick is yet to weave his magic with loan deals and make a difference as will most other managers but in general there isn't IMO the quality that was in the league last season or the one before.

It's already starting to look like one of those seasons where any team that manages to go on an extended run will all but romp it.

Having watched the highlights I was impressed at how we won the ball back quickly and then everyone started making runs (not all forward) but there was no standing about letting someone else do the work. Good to see that work ethic beginning to kick in

Great Result

As each week passes we appear to be growing in confidence. The defence is starting to look like they know where their fellow defenders are, and playing accordingly. This only comes with time together. One tiny wee piece of hopefully constructive criticism would be with the forwards, who on a few occasions yesterday ought to have passed to a better positioned team mate instead of taking the missed shot? Who knows, our goal tally could have been more? However, this too will come with time playing together.

Overall this was a cracking team performance. Now if we can do the same again, or something similar next week on the Firhill tattle field ...... that will indeed be huge progress.

Well done Lads. COYR

No longer a tattle field Heilan Rover.
Lovely pristine grass pitch if watching last Friday night's game is anything to go by.

Following our final regulation home league game of the season, Partick Thistle FC can confirm that a full renovation of the pitch at Firhill will take place at the end of the current season, commencing as soon as it fully concludes.M

Really enjoyed that performance yesterday all the players performed well and the team work was very good. With a wee bit more luck and composure we could have scored one or two more. Is this the benchmark to set against forthcoming performances?

The most pleasing aspect is the week on week improvement since Cove culminating in successive victories, scoring four goals and conceding one not bad forca side lacking a striker and a recently cobbled together back line.

I get it that Morton and Hamilton weren't brilliant but when you consider the four players yet to return from injury, they are better than anyone we could probably sign in the remaining window so we're looking pretty solid.

Big shout out to the two centre halfs. Strolled it.

Thanks for that Embo I seem to have missed that piece of information.

Looks like we might have a fighting chance then?
