6 pages on the Aberdeen thread, 5 for cove and 4 for Dundee yet only 3 for this winning match. Shows how much we all moan when we lose but can’t find much to say when we actually win Very Happy

Concern, lack of inspiration, doubts and various other negative thoughts will always come way before a 'small on the day success'.
If said 'small on the day success' was to morph into a series of wins and a good positive run in the league then the situation would no doubt change greatly.
Just a thought.🤔

Good post Embow.
It is true to say that it is easier to criticise a team and or a player.
When you lose posters will obviously pick up on the negative points, and provided said points are fair and accurate, then that is fine.

A team playing well will result in a lot less to say.

This is a young team, the club were slow out the blocks for various reasons about which we can only speculate.

That win will probably be worth a lot more than simply 3points, the confidence will be higher, hopefully the fan base will give the club a relatively free hand for a while at least.

Personally, I am really hopeful that the future is getting brighter. We may or may not hit the top four this season, but with a bit of time and GOOD luck......I think next season could be a lot better with these kids growing in stature and confidence. Very Happy

Very true, Wellyboot, and barely on to the third page!

Cuparman ,you comment earlier on the chanting near and at the end. As I recall, that started after Morton spurned a chance which had had us a bit nervous!
But what has happened to the Young Team at SP this year? I know that they caused some controversy because of some unacceptable chants towards
the end of last season. Are they still attending but without the singing element?

Was it a ''small'' win, Embow? Did you not see in the media that new team captain, Scott Brown, said before the match that the lack of points and
goals was beginning to play on the players' minds? (Seemed a bit premature to me , but that is what he said ) .

There's a distinct lack of the usual posters on most threads on fantalk these days, even the shoogly peg game seems to have fallen by the wayside, even Wolfie has gone missing, hope he's ok

FTFRY.

Interest in fantalk in general looks to be waning.

Wolfie is ok, he was busy yesterday filming the game, looked fighting fit in the 200 club after the game.

Indeed he was.
Adorning an amazing Hawaiian shirt covered in both palm trees and Rovers crests.

Post a photie of the garment please! I do miss the 🐺 comments however I seem to remember he got irked by the negativity of some posters and slung his own hook.

Decided not to go yesterday because I didn’t want to fight the festival traffic. Would happily pay the entrance fee for a pay per view as well as my season ticket.

Delighted with the result and the highlights!

Do RTV post whole match post match?

A full match replay goes up at midnight after every home game at Raith.tv

It is available to season ticket and RaithTV pass holders. There is also replays of some away games too, although this is dependent on whether the home team can accommodate the set up needed (three of the teams that did last season are no longer in the division this season).

been away on holiday so missed the back to back home games..
It would appear that the team has benefitted from Brown moving to anchor the midfield, adding a bit of backbone to the team.
The young centre half pairing look tall and mobile from the match highlights and once they get used to each other hopefully they will settle into the league and become a real asset.
The main issue for me remains goal scoring - hopefully IM can conjure a rabbit from the hat and secure us a 20 goal machine from somewhere.
The injured players will aslo benefit the squad big time once they are available so overall i'm happy to get the first lot of points on the board and remain confident that we'll contend at the right end of the table.

First Goals, First Win, and First Points on the board. So a good afternoon's work by any standards.

The first half was a very stuffy affair and we just could not get going. The second half however was entirely different. Dick's goal was a good well worked goal. Connolly's goal was a superb effort by all involved. No one would have blamed Gullan had he chosen to shoot instead of making that great pass to Connolly. Gullan was running in on goal, and the shot was on. However he unselfishly chose to pass, and Connolly made no mistake. As I said, an excellent goal all round.

I can only reiterate last week's post when I said we are improving week by week. The new defensive line up is starting to gel allowing Brown to move farther forward into midfield. This has definitely made a big difference to our play.

COYR. Onward and upward!
