Different manager different players same end result letting a more physical side bully us off the park as happened before with different managers. We were poor and there was nothing on the bench to change it no disrespect to the young players but the inexperience shone through. |

Shocking reporting on Sportsound for the second Raith game in a row (if you could even call it reporting). Ross co v the Pars was the featured match, with QOS v St Johnstone updates in second place. At half time, they announced it was Raith 2 Stirling 1, then late on, after they had finished waffling on about St Johnstone, (an almost boring over-report of their penalties and recent form) they announced our game as 1-1 and looking like going to penalties. If there was an apology / update at some point, I missed it. They rounded off with "The last I heard, I think that game (our game) has gone to penalties" - and that was it, while they rambled about the week ahead and until it was over. Even without an OF player in sight, they still manage to cherry-pick what they report and in what detail. Numpties - could any of us on here have done a worse job? |

I had a feeling that we wouldn't see Raith score another 6 in open play today and so it proved, although the Raith website assures us it was RR 6 SA 5.We can but dream (re the attacking side, at least )
IM will have learnt a lot today and trust it re-enforces the need for more signings. Early days and although progress in this Cup would give us
more funds for recruitment, there is surely enough in the coffers for a striker with presence and at least one CB.
Edited: I note that the website has been altered now

Very poor against a well organised robust Stirling Albion.
Very disappointed. |

Neil, I was at the match and didn't hear Sportsound. Standards slipped since Richard Gordon retired from the Saturday programme? |

That's true Franco - I'm pretty sure it was him conducting Open Mics some years back. Someone chimed in "Ah - goal! goal" - what a goal from 20 yards out!" He said "Fantastic - now tell us who you are, which game you are at and who scored!" Classic moment! |

I didn't go today but got the feeling it was a very frustrating afternoon. That was a very honest interview by IM and at least he knows we need to recruit along with needing to toughen up a bit. |

If we're awarded what looked like a stonewall penalty five minutes before half-time, or if their goal is disallowed for what looked like a foul in the build up, or if they go down to ten men earlier for the shocking tackle on Ethan Ross in front of the railway stand, then we're looking at a very different outcome today.
However, if Murray is, rightly, to be given plaudits for Wednesday night, he has to take responsibility for upsetting the shape and formation of the team today, in order to accommodate Zanatta who has shown little or nothing to merit inclusion, at the expense of Mitchell who has done nothing to deserve to be dropped. _________________ Dougie Hill

I've got to honest, I thought that was total guff today. Struggling to think of many clear cut opportunities that we created for all the possession we enjoyed. In the first half Stirling had the best of the chances and deservedly went in level. In the second forty-five we rarely stretched them at the back and they threatened to get in behind us on more than a few occasions. Better sides than today's League Two opposition are going to carve us apart as things stand.
Dylan Easton has undoubted talent but I fear the Championship is going to present him with a steep learning curve. If he has space and time he'll get us off our seats but in the last two games now he has tried tricks and turns in dangerous positions that haven't come off and only the low calibre of the opposition have seen us get away with it.
Dick and Millen are looking like they will offer nothing going forward and will toil defensively at times.
Unless we somehow manage to win our last two games now we won't be progressing and if we don't finish second then I'll class that as the first black mark against Murray's Raith scorecard. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Concur with all of the above from Castle on today's showing. What a climb down from Wednesday which now looks like a false dawn against a very poor Peterhead.
No intensity, no pace, no high press. Nothing that had us salivating on Wed was in evidence today. Easton a passenger for most of it. Berra seems to have taken up walking football which killed any momentum we could have had.
Nothing up top.
It was pretty awful stuff to be honest.
At least the trains were on time. |

Scanning various forums, teams from Championship to L1 and L2 are struggling to fill all areas of the park.
There is a general reluctance to commit or there are very few players available. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |
