Raith Rovers don't do cruising.
We were famously shipwrecked back in the early 1920's!🙄 |
I'll get jittery when its 4 - 0 |

For those of a certain vintage, I feel a Fawlty Towers moment coming on!

Seriously weakened opposition or not tonight, it's good to see the team get off to a good start. There'll be many games much harder than this one but encouraging start nonetheless. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Some good performances tonight. Stanton was brilliant in front of the back 4, he marshaled and closed down really well. Got forward when he had opportunity to as well. Easton was excellent, hopefully he can carry that on for the majority of the season. Mitchell looks raw in front of goal, but made some good runs and put in a great cross for Easton's volley. Shame Easton only got the two goals, but correctly, the second one is an own goal as it was going wide until it hit Dixon.
Peterhead were down and out before half time, their lack of numbers really impacted them and only 1 sub as well.
I think Berra was withdrawn only to keep him fresh as at 5-0 he wasn't required to stay on. |

Can only beat what’s in front of us!
I thought Easton was unplayable - Vaughan-esk I might say but see how he does against tougher opposition. Mitchell was class also, defence solid, McDonald with barely a save to make. Gullan knocking at the door constantly too. No injuries. If Carlsberg done daft cup matches….
We’ll played lads _________________ RIP RONNIE |

Have to be delighted with that performance tonight.
The shape, workrate and intensity was first class, regardless of the opposition.
No doubt Easton was Man of the Match, but special mention to Kieran Mitchell who got himself into some great positions and delivered a great cross for the opening goal, and Sam Stanton who mopped up everything and started countless attacks. _________________ Dougie Hill

The tempo of the team was far quicker, movement and passing slicker than last season. Hopefully, we can get the full points against Stirling and Dumbarton, as well as increasing our goal difference, to cement a 2nd spot at the very least. |

Totally agree.
Watched on raith tv.
These guys look hungry, if they carry on like this......they will do us proud.
Pass marks all round.
Great tempo. If this is the normal style of what is to come, fans will love it. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

It's clear Peterhead are more of a work in progress than we are. I suspect Jim Mcinally has written off the League Cup as an extension of pre season based on that performance and squad numbers.
That said, that performance was just delicious to watch.
9 points going into the Aberdeen match please. |

Spot on Specky Ginger.
That was the best Rovers footballing side we witnessed tonight for a very long time.
The passing was slick, fast moving, skill wise the players were superb, the opportunities created and goals scored were above previous Rovers teams under John McG.
Happy Rovers fans |
