Welcome to the Rovers family Ian, if you stay true to the values and words spoken in your interview then you will enjoy my full support. _________________ Gallatown boot boys |

I would have got behind the new manager appointment anyway, but Ian Murray seems like a decent choice.
Came over well in his first Raith TV interview. A bit surprised by his description of Matej, who, although he's good in the air
as shown by his two goals in the Final, is not normally described as a ''big'' striker!
The hard work starts now, in moulding the squad for the new season. |

Very positive interview (top marks again to D.Hancock) but one thing made me wonder. Murray said Raith approached Airdrie on Thursday to talk to him yet on Wednesday the Board released a statement which read, We have been overwhelmed at the number of candidates and delighted with the quality that applied to be Raith Rovers First Team manager.
So I am curious as to whether or not Murray applied for the job or whether these high quality candidates were not as high as stated and Raith initiated the contact when they realised Thomson wasn't taking the job (thank the Lord)
I had hoped for a manager who could boast higher than a 42% win rate (as per McGlynn) but I guess only time will tell. _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

I suspect he has applied but as under contract we would needed to request permission from airdrie to speak with him. |

Listened to both interviews and alot of very positive statements and comments.
The more I think about it the more I realise we needed to freshen things up. This looks on paper at least like a good opportunity to build on a strong foundation and move the club forward in a positive direction.
It will be interesting to see how Mcglynns team react to the new systems that will be implemented under Murray.
Welcome to the bear pit Ian .... you'll enjoy it here ..... honest. |

I wonder if all the changes and a new manager will resurrect the contributions back into the player fund, or has the hatchet not been fully buried yet |

The club aren't exactly making it easy for people to do this - the Supporters' Fund link on the home page of our website hasn't worked for months. |

He mentioned in his interviews that he's looking to bring in Scott Agnew from Airdrie. |

I'm now getting quite excited for the season to come. Lets hope the board and management team convert all their encouraging words into action. |
