Hi folks
I desperately need your help, rather Hector does.
My daughter and her husband took on a puppy recently, the 'breeder' couldn't sell him because he had a little heart murmur, so rather than let him be destroyed, they took him on hoping to give him the best life they could along with their other two dogs. They took Hector to their vet for a regular check up to discover that 'the little heart murmur' was actually a grade 6, essentially the worst you can get.
They have already paid out over £1000 for tests and have been told that Hector can live a long and fulfilled life, if he has heart surgery and they (The vets) are certain he can be cured.
I appreciate money is tight for everyone, gas and electric, petrol and diesel, even the price of a good pint is going through the roof but if say 100 fantalkers chucked in a fiver each, that would go a good way to help them reach their target, and as you might imagine, time is another thing they are short on.
You can read about Hector and how you can help below, if you are able to help, put RRFC in the donation comments and I can tell my daughter and son in law how my fellow Rovers fans helped save the day again.
I thank you in advance on theirs and Hectors behalf, if the funds can be raised quickly enough and he survives, you can be sure to get pictures and updates on the wee guy.

Thank you Sir, very much appreciated.
@vinnie - I understand your comment however we are desperate, the vets have said he needs the surgery by Tuesday next week. Son in law has even put his 'project car' on gumtree to try and raise the funds.
Just a young couple who were trying to do what they though was right and got caught out. What makes it worse is that the 'breeder' who now wants nothing to do with the dog or them, is not that far from Kirkcaldy _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

Made a small contribution - if it is a breeder near St Andrews they have previous.
Just a note of curiosity. Hibs adopted a dog called Blackie and there are pictures (somewhere) of the dog training with the Famous Five. Apparently it used to run with them up the extensive grandstand on the east side of the pitch. Maybe RRFC could have this poor wee pup as a mascot. used to enjoy doggie pitch invasions. _________________ Here Wee go again |

Thank you very much WillieKirk, every little bit is appreciated, and not St Andrews, a lot closer than that.
Just as an aside, we have had some messages asking if this is a scam and if we have had accounts hacked, I can assure you it is genuine appeal for help and I can give further details via pm if required, thanks all _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

For those interested, the surgery went ahead today, there were complications and it took 3 hours, at the moment he is stable and should he get through the night okay Hector should get home tomorrow. It is just the start of his journey but he should live a normal life term now rather than being dead in a few weeks.
Thank you to those who supported this and the fund will stay open until the weekend should anyone still wish to do so. _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

Fingers crossed .
Being the slave to my black lab, I know how much it can/ will hurt if the worst comes.
