The loss of John and Smudger may well hasten that reversal of fortune. You could pretty much be guaranteed Championship status with the two of them at the helm. Yes there were, and would have been, ups and downs along the way but that's the nature of fitba'.
The incoming appointment just has to be spot on or all the McGlynn knockers will be wanting them back.

There was a sizeable number of Rovers fans in the away end at East End today.
A good few of my son's pals were there.
I passed on it as I honestly thought the Pars would sneak through today.
My son was looking forward to a day out with Section B at East End next Sunday, but these pesky Weedgies have spoiled his fun.
As Strathallan Rover says a few posts back, if we can't enjoy the Pars getting relegated, for fear of counting next season's projected gate receipts, then there isn't really much point in following a lower league team. _________________ Dougie Hill

Pars and Kelty in seaside league. East Fife in the forgotten league. Cowden disappeared somewhere. Only side left from Fife in the Championship. Maybe it’s not so bad supporting the “wee team” from Kirkcaldy after all |

Aye Embow. In the words of that famous Canadian Lady Joni Mitchell, "You don't know what you've got till it's Gone"!
There will only be a few Posters on here who will understand that quote? |

Had nothing else to do so went along to EEP on Saturday and sat amongst the Queens Park fans. Great atmosphere in their end and hilariously funny outcome with a last minute winner. Pars fans were raging at full time, stewards having to hold some of them back as the boos echoed around the ground and chants of Yogi being a 'dirty Falkirk B'. Outside was just as tense as there were pockets of Rovers fans giving it tight towards the inconsolable Dunfermline fans on Halbeath Road.
The football on show though was utter guff. Dunfermline clearly must have been raising their game in the 4 fixtures against us and Ambrose looked like he'd never seen a football before in his life. Queens probably should have been 1 up within the first couple of minutes but thereafter Dunfermline squandered a fair few chances and Queens didn't look like they were up to much in the 2nd half until their goal. Even after that Dunfermline player found himself clean through but good save from their keeper.
All in all a hilarious entertaining afternoon. |
