Into League One where it will be a right old cat fight with QotS, a resurgent Falkirk, an ambitious Kelty a capable Montrose and one of Queens Park or Airdrie. Still they could of had the humiliation of finishing fifth. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Airdrie/QP, Alloa, Clyde, Dunfermline, EC/Annan, Falkirk, Kelty, Montrose, Peterhead, QoS…talk about a possible group of death!
EC/Annan winner likely to be joint favorite for relegation with Peterhead, and Alloa and Clyde close behind. Of the remaining six, QoS might be the weakest, and the Pars might struggle to rebuild effectively in their first year down. |

Wasnt wanting them relegated, the financial fall out from missing out on 2 home games against them probably equates to 2 players from our budget, who knows.
However, it will be funny when Kelty Hearts pump them!!!!! At least we may have another year before that happens to us |

From a financial point of view it may have been better if they had avoided relegation but from a footballing point of view its better to have them down. If they were in the championship next season that would have been another club with a bigger budget than us. Of course it still might be that way if Queens Park get past Airdrie. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Wee bit gutted for Forfar today, absolutely battered Annan in the first half and their keeper making 2 worldy saves in the second half, one from a Harkins header we all thought crossed the line.
Annans penalty (2 mins from time) was at the other end so didn't have a clear view but there must have been 8 or 9 Forfar boys round the ref claiming a dive.
Was very impressed with a young lad Steven Warnock, very busy attacking midfielder, think they have him on loan from Killie. He is only wee but great strength and good feet.
Always next season as some have said. _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

Think it is over exaggerated slightly financially, they haven’t travelled to Starks in huge numbers since we were battling for the league, likewise our home end isn’t jam packed like it used to be. BBC covering our games effects attendance significantly too.
As you say, it will (or at least should) help that sides in close proximity like Dunfermline and Falkirk are in the lower leagues as Championship football is a much bigger draw and we are often shopping in the same shops as these clubs when it comes to signings or attracting loan players.
Kelty to come up again and if we aren’t promoted next season, we at least have a Fife derby to look forward to again… |

That's if we aren't relegated next season. 20% of the championship got relegated this term after all. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Just to add I reckon the difference between two games against the Pars and two games against say, Queens Park, must be at least four thousand less fans through the gates. Maybe forty grand less in the coffers? _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

slightly of tack I am going to go to Cowdenbeath next Saturday as I really don't see them staying in the league and it will be my last chance of going to Wee Jimmy's for some time possibly. |

True, bit of money and obviously the excitement a good Fife derby generates will be missed but it’s not a huge amount on the grand scheme of things, easily negated by a good cup draw or something similar.
It doesn’t seem such a concern these days when we have an owner splashing so much cash on new pitch, new floodlights, hub, stand repairs, longer contacts, we even bought a player!… |

Hey don't get me wrong. I'd take watching and laughing at them being relegated over a bit extra cash in the budget everyday. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Agree
We pulled in just over 2800 for one of the games and under 500 for the other although there was other reasons for that
Having said that, with Cove coming up along with either Airdrie or Queens Park and potentially only one of two Dundee or St Johnstone coming down and throw in cost of living crisis crowds will be grim next year _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

Since the final whistle blew at EEP today i have laughed my socks off. As football fans i believe our concerns should always be primarily matters on the pitch, not attendance figures etc. They deserve it and it's so funny reading their comments on their forum. I just hope the roles are not reversed a year from now. |
