Wednesday night's result and performance is where our season was finally killed off, realistically speaking. If Thistle had lost in Dumfries last night, then maybe that would've llifted things for today. But that didn't happen.

And so we sat and suffered a game and performance that had end-of-season written all over it. Except it wasn't the end of the season - a win today and at Firhill next week would've kept us in the hunt. But very few players seemed up for a battle in 'last chance saloon'. Why?

My own view is that everyone at the club - players, staff, management and probably directors too, are all just weary of the whole thing. For all converned, our season ended at 6pm last Sunday, and we're now going through the motions.

I'm free next two Saturdays, but won't be attending either Firhill or Douglas Park - if there's a lack of effort on and around the park, I don't see why I should try too hard either.. I'm not looking forward to the Killie title party at our place at the end of the month, but I'll be there, I guess.

Positives?
On today, then Young getting a start at full back; decent performance from Musonda; McKay recovered from his horror show on Wednesday, so fair play to him. But that's it.
On the season, we won a cup, we did well till December, and we've had a couple of decent performances to win aforementioned cup (ie, at Inverness, Kilmarnock & Airdrie (2nd half).

but over-riding feeling is of huge disappointment that the early-season promise has totally evaporated, and especially with ZERO wins at Stark's Park in 2022 - a shocking statistic.

Roll on 2022-23 season

If Killie win their next two games against ICT away and Arbroath at home then they will be awarded the title in front of their own fans at Rugby Park.

And maybe more of the same?
Geez! You're keen 😄
Actually to be honest and joking apart I feel exactly the same.

Honestly don't think we deserved to lose that game today, but the fatal wound was struck on Wednesday.
Can't believe we made three subs in the space of four minutes, when none of them appeared to be injured.
Surely you make at least one double sub, so if someone gets injured later in the game, you have the option of bringing Arnott on, whereas we deprived ourselves that opportunity.
Crackers.

I was calling for exactly that SG on the hour mark. We had half an hour to save our season and three first team starters on the bench. At least a double substitution or even a triple to mix it up and give Morton something else to think about in what had become a stalemate. To make three individual substitutions within minutes of each other was bizarre. It actually broke up any momentum it was like running down the clock.

I did not think we deserved to lose the game but the players didn't look like they wanted it as much as the supporters did. A win today and next week would have been game on. There appeared to be a total lack of belief on the park.

As it is I'll be following SDRs schedule for the remaining games.

It was still poor stuff, there is too much kick anywhere and hope that something comes of it - No it doesn't.

Head tennis to the opposition.

More or less the same dire performance and lack of management from the dug out.
