The first of several six pointers on the run in. With Arbroath following closely next week end.
I guess we can now be talking about "Must Win" games if we are to participate in the play off and this has to go down as a must win six pointer.
Not heard any illness or fitness news, but hopefully whoever plays shows the same determination as last week's team. |

Courier reports the team is decimated with a non-COVID illness. |

The squad has been reduced by 10%?
I jest of course but McGlynn says he won't have any problem putting a team out but I guess the bench is going to be a shirt on numbers. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

I can't see anything else than a comfortable away win. Although we finally won last week, they had a very impressive win over Arbroath. Add to that the squad has been hit by illness and i still believe our confidence is very fragile, i just can't see anything positive happening on Saturday.
0-2 ICT. |

Yet according the report I listened to coming back from Dumfries, Arbroath's keeper Gaston had an absolute nightmare, he all but gifted 2 of the goals and Arbroath had a mare in general. 2 goals in 11 mins sounded like our game against Ayr. Defensively we were stinking that day and by the sounds of it Arbroath had a day to forget too. We were up against a really poor team in QotS but ICT were up against an over confident if out of sorts Arbroath by the sounds of it....... 2 poor teams = draw or score draw! _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Easton 6, Gullan 6, Stanton 4, Dick 3, Vaughan 3, Connell 2, Brown 1, Frederiksen 1, McBride 1, OG 1. |

McGlynn seemed a bit more upbeat about the illness situation in his pre-match interview, certainly in terms of the team back training, but match fitness could be an issue.
Hopefully the injury situation is better too, would love to see Spencer back in the team alongside Stanton and Matthews/Williamson. |

Goodness knows what team we will field tomorrow and how many will be fit enough to cover from the bench.
For some reason I don't think that Brad Spencer has recovered from his foot injury, but hope that I'm wrong.
JMcG is fulsome in his praise of Matej in the FFP, so ,if fit, I imagine that he will start again.
Let's hope that he pops in the winner! |

A special programme has been produced for tomorrow in tribute to Frank Connor.
There are some great pics and stories in it, including the full transcript of his induction into the Rovers Hall of Fame and a reprint of an interview he did with the excellent Stark's Bark fanzine in 1992.
It can also be downloaded in digital format.
There's no charge, but donations are welcome, with the proceeds going to Alzheimer's Scotland at the request of Frank's family. _________________ Dougie Hill

braw day for it.
Hopefully last week's win has boosted the confidence and we will play with a bit more freedom.
fancy a 2-0 scoreline.

Today's the day!🤫
The monkey has to go sometime.
As ever not caring how well or otherwise we perform, as long as it's three points for us by the end of the match. We're at the real pointy end of proceedings so just gather in the three points, regardless.
Silky soccer on a sun kissed San Starko will be a bonus 👍 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
