If I have counted right (no guarantees) that's a squad of 25, with 3 MAs so 22 in reality, two of whom we have no real way of knowing when they will return and for how long this time so that's 20 to play with, 6 of whom are forwards, 7 midfielders and only 3 FT defenders. Strikes me that at least 2 of those forwards and possibly one of the midfielders are going to have to find other clubs to be able to get a couple of CBs in and cover at full back, either that or we are going to have the most imbalanced squad in the SPFL and will have to play one hell of strange formation.
I know I didn't mention a striker but I still think Connolly could fill that 9 role with Gullan as a 10. I can see Quinn and Luke either being loaned out or let go of altogether leaving Ross and Zanatta as wingers perhaps with Gullan playing second fiddle to Connolly and Stanton (possibly Brown) at the front of a diamond in the middle (I believe Murray like diamonds).
I guess the back line will consist of who we have available

Connolly as a no 9? You must be seeing something completely different from what I see. He will never be Center forward, an out and out winger _________________ Davie McGurn gone but never forgotten! |

Reckon he could be a fox in the box, very quick on his feet and could win us a fair few pens _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

In Fife Today, IM is quoted as saying that we are very heavy in midfield.
Well, he, himself, signed two and a half midfielders ( Scott Agnew being player/coach it turns out),
and extended Brad's contract.
Sounds like Arnott will go on loan and Coulson will either be the same or be encouraged to leave.
But his comments suggest that he may not fancy one or both of Rossco and Stanton???
Has he reviewed the second half of the season and decided that they were not up to the mark
when Brad was absent?🤔
Of course, he wants to shape his own squad and will look to play the guys that he signed.
I hope that he doesn't want to off-load Ross Matthews, one of my favourite players... and I think
Stanton is decent . |

Effectively, Coulson, Mahady, Mitchell, Masson and Bow don’t count. I expect Bow and Mahady to move on, Mitchell and Coulson to be loaned, and Masson I just don’t know if he is rated by Murray. Arnott is likely our next money spinning player, so he may see a trip to League One or play. Young is a promising LB, could see a loan if we sign another LB, or could play.
That leaves 2 keepers, 3 or 4 defenders (Young is the variable, and Lang isn’t back yet, but is counted), 5 to 6 mids (Arnott is the variable, not counting Agnew), and 5 forward/wings. Total team is at 15-17 players right now, with 5 additional players facing unclear use or status. |

NO news of anyone coming in RZ. I'm finding the deafening silence just a bit disconcerting _________________ Keeping the Faith (and the Missionary work!) |

Can't make up my mind whether Christophe Berra didn't give IM a positive report on Frankie Musonda or IM looked at any negotiations there had been with Frankie prior to him coming and decided it wasn't worth having talks with him himself because of the financial side.🤔
I remember that last season Q o S supporters, for example, were worried that they had few defenders when the season started...
.....and things did not go well for them- until they played The Rovers 🧐. Overall, they did not recover, of course.
On the other hand, we have got used to the way JMcG and Smudger operated ,whereas IM and Aggie have no track record with us.
Too early to panic, tho. Patience and faith needed, I guess.
I am surprised, though, that there has been no information given on the rumoured injury operations for two players (presumably, in addition to LV, who, let's hope, is well on the way to a comeback , not going under the surgeon's knife yet again🤞. That would be unbearable). |

Hoping there’s a few trialists in for the game on Saturday as it doesn’t look like we’ll have 4 recognised defenders or any cover. I know these are essentially bounce games however.
Was hoping as per IM’s interview there would be another signing last week but still nothing this week so far. Not worrying at all but would say we need 1 striker and 3 defenders to start the season/cup games.
Hopefully there’s a few waiting to get over the line. _________________ RIP RONNIE |

Just watched the 2nd week training video, that's what I like to see, guys working so hard they are close to spewing
Still didn't spot LV there, perhaps too intense for him yet or maybe he is considering a honeymoon just off the M9 _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

I wouldn't be shocked if Leigh Griffiths rocked up at Starks Park. He is on the look out for a club and his path would of crossed with Murray at Hibs. |
