Massive turnaround! Instead of throwing away a lead we got it back again and even added to it! Inspiring talk from Poplatnik on Sportsound. |

We were 2nd best for 1st hour or so but completely took over and were clinical for a pleasant change!
Matej was quality, JMc in goal too, these two made the difference today, let’s hope we aren’t to tired or wounded and can get another vital win on Wed...
Away on holiday in a few hours, good start to it! |

I wasn't confident for the second half, but when we brought on our Canadian secret weapon and changed formation, it all changed. Well done the Lads!
Please, Please, Caw Canny wi the celebrations though. There's a REALLY IMPORTANT game to win on Wednesday night.

Congratulations to the Champions, it was a hard watch first half, but the boys were worthy winners in the second. As my other father would say, “the cream always rises to the top”. Have a good night everyone |

You saw the confidence come back into the players when the 2nd goal went in, just hope now that we can keep Berra and Bene card and and injury free from now to the seasons end, great result and for once we got the breaks |

McGlynn has had his critics for the lack of substitutions during the season but his introduction of Zanatta and the change of formation was a master stroke. Credit where it’s due |

Much better second half, the switch of shape when bringing off Varian changed the game. Well done Rovers. Great atmosphere all game from the fans. Need this for league games now. |

Thought Varian was a passenger for most if it, and with the rash challenge that saw him carded I was glad he was subbed off, before being sent off |

Congratulations to the team on another cup win. We don't lose cup finals but for the first 60mins, it looked like we were about to. A fantastic performance by Poplatnik, he must be given a contract for next season as he has proved what he is capable of when given a chance.
Let's hope we can recover in time for Wednesday. |

Strangely enough, I wasn't all that worried throughout the game.
QoS began at a pace which would be impossible to maintain, while they also had the elements in their favour in the first half. There's no denying they deserved their equaliser, but I always felt we would get a better grip as the game went on and their energy levels dropped off.
And, as was mentioned earlier, huge credit to the management team for realising the way to win the midfield tussles and trouble their defence was to stretch the game wide and at the same time, inject pace through the middle, which we achieved through the substitution.
For a team with a makeshift defence (positions wise) and who haven't managed too many wins in 2022, it was an excellent performance in the circumstances, and the celebrations with the fans at the end was a reminder, again, of why we are all part of such a fabulous and special football club. |

Don't know what people were expecting from our make shift defence. Yes it was frantic at times but our players went about their duties honestly and wholeheartedly. Their commitment to the cause has never been in doubt.
Kudos to McGlynn, he seen what the issue was knew how to remedy it and when was the best time to initiate the counter. A bit like Ali v Foreman and rope-a-dope the Queens players were all punched out by the time Dario came on the scene.
Thought Tumilty was brilliant, up and down that wing all game long, constantly available for the switch of play. We'll miss him next season no doubt about that.
Pop was obviously man of the match with his two magnificent headers (what a cross from Tumilty for the first!) but actually thought his link up play wasn't as good as it can be in the first half but he found his game after we went in front the second time.
I'll mention Mackie as well who I thought had his best performance in a Raith jersey.
Never understand the criticism and sneering remarks directed towards this competition. Some of the youngsters who were enjoying the celebrations with the players by the touchline at full time will be signed up supporters for life now.
Nice touch getting Vaughan on the bench and was good seeing Riley Snow being recognised for his contributions earlier in the season. If I recall correctly he scored a winning goal at Starks in one of the early rounds. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |
