And his constant reference to 'youngster' Ross Matthews.
Ross Matthews who made his 250th appearance a few weeks back. _________________ Dougie Hill

Nice to see Ewan Murray still has his tried and trusted backing off at speed move down pat.
Really hope neither Varian nor Zanatta's injuries are too serious.
All of that should do wonders for our confidence. _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Gullan 7, Easton 7, Vaughan 7, Stanton 6, Akio 3, Brown 3, Dick 3, Connell 2, Goncalves 2, McBride 2 ,McGill 2,OG 2, Frederiksen 1, Lang 1, Nolan 1, |

So if the final will be on the 2nd of April, does anyone know what the kick off time will be and if it will be live on BBC Alba?
Reason being, I'll be in London that weekend and already have a pretty full schedule for that day. Is BBC Alba available on BBC iPlayer from England?
Also, if RaithTV are allowed to do commentary, will that be available from England?
Oh, and excellent result tonight. Rode our luck on occasion, but deserved the win due to our tenacity overall I think. |

Great to get any sort of a win - let’s hope the lads kick on from here 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Now, I got bit of an issue with John tonight.
He has a player on the pitch who has never missed a penalty in his professional career, who tonight picked the ball up to take the penalty and Bene told him to take it only for the order to come from the bench telling them that Bene is to take the penalty.
Talk about killing players confidence.
He moans that strikers are not scoring enough which they are not but when striker wants to take the penalty he doesn’t let him 🤦♂️🤦♂️
If Matej took that penalty he would’ve also scored that chance that he had in the last minute - you can tell his confidence is dropping.
Runt over! |

Motherwell,Livingston or Airdie for the Final?
A.r.s.e cheeks play on Sunday 3rd so guessing we,ll be playing on Saturday 2nd |
Ugly sisters kick off at noon on Sunday 3rd. So I reckon we'll be same day at 4pm in a land far, far away from Glasgow. Like Livingston or, if it has to be on grass, maybe Embra |

Hopefully they play the game on the Saturday. Even a 17:30 on a Saturday kick off is preferable to a Sunday at 16:00 in my opinion. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

I reckon Saturday tea time is the most likely.
I'm sure it was to be at that time two years ago.
Airdrie are away that weekend, so I'd reckon it's a decent shout for a venue. _________________ Dougie Hill

Back to last night's match. Not having been there, my view was limited to what TV screen provided, so at the time, I thought Killie's penalty was soft and ours even softer. Having seen the incidents now from the other side of the ground, courtesy of RaithTV, both look to have been fairly clear-cut correct decisions.
On overall play, many of our players seemed to have their 'mojo' back - although we took risks playing such a high line at the back and, on another day, could have been made to pay for lack of pace 3 or 4 times. It was in midfield where we seemed to take control, for most of the game at least. And up front, we saw what an asset Varian can be when our team mixes it up a bit, and gets the ball forward more quickly some of the time. It took a while to adjust when Poplatnik took Varian's place early in the second half, but when Ross then joined the game, these two changes going forward meant that we got control back for the last quarter.
Let's hope we can make our re-found confidence count in the next nine league games. Well, at least on Saturday vs Ayr, to be going on with.... |

Great result and brilliant to come back from a goal down. Well done to the team. Great to see Arnott get his first goal. |

Sorry but I really don't see what he brings to the team. |

The difference Varian has made in the past few weeks has been huge, certainly compared to Gullan chasing shadows. He isn't the answer to the goals, but unsettles defenders and creates openings for others. |

Exactly this, we now have to capitalise on the openings he creates. I'd like to see him have a partner up front or have some more willing runners around him, I feel that both Connolly and Zanatta aren't aggressive enough pushing on into the spaces. |

Varian harries and hassles but needs someone alongside him to convert those chances he creates. Gullan or Pops in two up front could reap rewards |
