To those who still have the big knives out, please stop and think!
In no way am I condoning the events of the DG transfer, but if the whole BOD and management did what certain folk want, and walk away, the resulting chaos would mean no club at all for us.
Whatever changes will take place eventually, they have to be done in such a manner as to leave the club on as solid a foundation as possible in the circumstances. Replacements for whoever will eventually leave will have to be found. This requires huge commitment from these replacements and won’t be easily found.
Which one of us have never made a wrong decision, embarrassing mistake or gone against advice, thinking we know best? Not many, I’ll wager.
While most of us can get away with them, this problem has been highlighted because of certain famous individuals with clout, the media and of course the much greater public awareness today of the seriousness of the type of behaviour DG is responsible for.
I’m not defending anyone in all of this - time will tell what all the outcome is.
But what cannot be doubted surely are the actions of all connected to Raith Rovers were done with a view to doing something to better the team and club, misguided though this was.
However, the poison that is existing in this forum and beyond will make it even more difficult for wounds to heal and for things to move forward positively.
Let’s cool the vitriol for a while and give others time to make the changes still to come. _________________ He's no' hairy mary he's the Rovers' little fairy!

Thing is Pinky it's not just on here, there an atmosphere at the ground too. I don't think moving forward is an option for many until they see change.
That change has to happen sooner than later for the good of the Football Club. Doing the old ostrich trick that the board are doing isnt a sound plan and not one that can be entertained going forward. _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Easton 6, Gullan 6, Stanton 4, Dick 3, Vaughan 3, Connell 2, Brown 1, Frederiksen 1, McBride 1, OG 1. |

Think you are confusing the Goodwillie thing with the abject football on show, last three home games = no goals scored and barely an attempt on target, hardly a recipe for joy in the stands. |

There's every chance a lot of folk will suddenly be thinking that they need a manicure as a festidious focused study of the finger nails will ensue as soon as names are sought.🤫🤲 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Perhaps, but I don't believe they are not linked. _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Easton 6, Gullan 6, Stanton 4, Dick 3, Vaughan 3, Connell 2, Brown 1, Frederiksen 1, McBride 1, OG 1. |

I don't think thats the case, i'm hopeful that whomever applies for the position will have the goal of helping right the previous wrongs. I feel its a bit of a poisoned chalice though right now because there are 3 distinct camps amongst the supporters that all want to be heard and satisfied. Those who want change, those who prefer to just get on with it and those that for some reason think that Goodwillie would have been good for the club. I feel for anyone willing to take that on, but good luck to them. |
