so no material changes proposed just a review and the possibility of additions to the board.
i really feel for the volunteers, staff and others who did the honourable thing, seems their sacrifices are being glossed over.

Practically however, I'm not sure what more immediate action the board can take. We are where we are with this, and our/their only choice is to start from here. The mistakes have been made and sadly there is no time machine to take us back to unmake them!

We cannot ask John Sim to resign without a very wealthy and willing person to take his place, so where to from here?

In a nutshell

Personally dont think JS is interested in selling up.Recollect in an interview some time ago that he was being contacted regularly from interested parties

I'm much in agreement with Heilan Rover here.

There's obviously more (hopefully a good bit) to come from the BoD in regards of board movement, contrition and reconciliatory PR but It's interesting to know what people are wanting / expecting to happen.

You can't have all four board members going straight away, it's not a feasible or sensible move for the future of the club, cutting out unhealthy tissue is of little value if the patient dies on the operating table.

New blood is clearly needed along with some old but some previous constituents need not apply. I'd say yes to Clark, Mill and Caira but NONE of the rest need put their hat in the ring. Some have proved PR disasters and some aren't a good fit and then others are just been plain incompetent.

Speaking of PR, Ms McDermid was right to be appalled and 100% correct to back up her stance, but is she right to have any more say on the matter? Since February 1st she has nothing to do with RRFC at present so Retweets about her being the only winner are wrong imo, she intimated there was only going to be one winner in this, well who was it Val? As far as I can see there's only losers. She's well heeled and she doesn't like those those in charge at SP, there's a simple solution there I think, "put up or shut up" comes to mind.

FWIW, I'm in the camp that still wants to see accountability for what's happened, I just think it will take a month or two and possibly not even until seasons end but I think it will happen.
I use the word accountability for several reason, in the chairman we have one of the finest accountancy brains out there yet despite fine work earlier his thinking on this a part of a massive financial deficit that could have long lasting implications. The club secretary is likewise a renown accountant and he too shares the blame for a huge loss. The Commercial director should have been the man fighting hardest for a way to protect income into his remit, he failed miserably. The VC is a successful local business man and a respected figure in football (particularly in Fife), his reputation is to some extent in tatters, he really should have known better.
Financially those four have crippled the club and they should be held accountable for that, when it come to ethics they have shown themselves to be pretty much morally deficient there too. For both those failings there has to be reparations made.

Edited to add, I hope John Sim takes a step back but not necessarily away from the club.

Crikey Scotty don't hold back now eh. The directors are morally bankrupt and comparing them to cancerous growths!

Nice one. Just thought it was overly harsh that's all.

Very much agree, and due to my experiences/viewpoint, I need to see some action before considering a return to financial support of the Club. The moral failings shown by this “football decision” are the biggest sticker for me.

Agree, and excellent statement and shows how easily the BoD/Owner could have spread a wee bit of oil on the water. Still not enough evidence, and waiting for DG to be paid off, but very positive so far.
