We have had the answers to our prayers for a decent striker under our collective noses for months.
JM is obviously the major protagonist simply because he couldn’t or wouldn’t give him a fair crack.
People seem to put managers on pedestals and think they are beyond reproach.
Coaching is all about man management skills, the ability to coach to inspire, to lead, to motivate players and take Difficult decisions when necessary, to discipline slackers , the list is long.
They have to be multi faceted , to be all things to all players, they must set standards which if are not met, then action must be taken.
There should be no slackers, nobody who is guaranteed a starting place.
The club would be better spending ( as I hope is the case now) in getting somebody in to get as close to this ideal as possible.
IM, could well be this man, least I am praying so anyway.
The curtain rises on Saturday. People saying I would be happy with a point.....I am kinda not hoping that is this teams mentality.

I don't think you would find any football team on planet earth who would release a statement explaining why they didn't sign a player who they didn't want.
I must have watched a different player last season. Decent enough, but other than a purple patch of a few games was nothing special. For every good game he had a poor one. |

4 way chase for Poplatnik between Dundee, Hamilton, Ayr and PT.
Unfortunately he won’t be coming to us. He is very disappointed in Raith as the only contact from Raith came last week when one of the Directors contacted Matej’s agent asking about his availability and that Ian (manager) will be in touch - well guess what, no contact from the manager or anyone else from the club.
On numerous occasions Matej made it clear to the club that he would accept massive drop in wages to remain with us but now feels very disappointed and let down by the club. |
Why does he feel let down? Because a manager who doesn't want him hasn't tried to sign him? |

No one seems to have mentioned the highly detailed highly accurate team leaks coming from massive Poplatnik supporter raith2020 in the 24 hours before a game last season.
I found that a bit disconcerting. |

I did make mention about this before and questioned why any genuine rovers fan would do that.
No sure what all the hype about Pops was. Can only count about 2 games where I thought he was a player. That said, I don't think he got a fair chance when with us. |

Also why is a director telling Pop's agent Murray will be in touch if Murray clearly doesn't want him. Are directors now meddling in who Murray should sign? Always a recipe for disaster and reeks of desperation. |

BUT.
Do we know this is true Craig? Did a Director call Pop's agent, or is this Raith2020 desperately trying to stir up interest where none exists? |

Did he get lost crossing the border on the M8 last Saturday on his way to A, B, C, or D or did he stop off at raith2020 for coffee never to be seen again
Course maybe he's been kidnapped by our Director till he signs for us 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 |

From the other channel (Morton fan):
"I asked one of the directors about the prospect of Poplatnik coming in at the MCT EGM in June and was told that the sort of money he was after was so far out of our price range it’s frightening.
Things may well have changed a couple of months down the line with no club having signed him, but I’d imagine we can forget it"
Maybe Pops regretting not taking McGlynn up on his initial offer to be 'the highest paid player in League 1'

Here's hoping he'd still be willing to take a wage cut just to sign for us lol he did before he loved the club _________________ Murray |

A pay cut in comparison to what Livi were paying him which in I'm guessing is still way above our wage structure. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

The thing is are we talking to him or his agent or is this pure speculation by the supporters. I really do hope that someone at the club has the authority to go ahead with the negotiations. |
