Great 3pts

Hard to be too critical given the run we are on but we are off the boil right now and relying on our defenders, goalkeeper and luck too much for my liking.

Hope McGlynn pulls a rabbit or two out the hat come the window, we are so close to something special but missing key players is taking it’s toll on recent performances if not results (yet)…

We are on a run of grinding out results. Not pretty or exciting to watch but I'll take it!
Yes we need reinforcements .....and a better quality than most from last January.

Interesting subs, would have thought BRS needed some minutes prior to Taits' departure

Arnott now ahead of BRS in the pecking order, me thinks.

They do entirely different jobs on the field to be fair. Arnott has the ability to press and create higher up the pitch while BRS sits back and shields the back four.

Was a fairly tough game today, our back 5, including MacDonald were excellent throughout, Matthews and Tait were outnumbered though and it showed at times when we pressed to get the ball back. Varian just doesn't give defenders an easy time, but up against 3 of them today was tough. Zanatta still offers no assurance in his touches, the ball gets away from him more often than not, needs to get back onto a game, his penalty was a bit lucky too, both in decision and execution, you'd be livid if that went for Killie at the other end but it was a hand ball, while hands were at the side of the defender.

I'll take the 3 points however we get them now. Much better crowd today too apart from the geniuses sitting in our seats and trying to argue "we're just sitting anywhere I think" when being asked to move politely, the first time round.

Reasonably decent attendance given its getting close to Christmas.
This has been lifted from the other channel's Pars v QoS thread!

"3435 given as the attendance"

Not a hope! It's a Ross County style of counting.🥴

I know that is what we had but Pars claiming 3435 at home v QoS!
"I just don't believe it!" to quote a certain Mr V Meldrew😊

A very fair and refreshing take on the penalty by the Gaffer. I know it's easy to say when you win but nonetheless he's upfront with his opinion on how penalties are awarded these days.

Not the best game today but a very important 3 points. Today highlighted our need for a striker as too many times Varian was winning headers and nobody was feeding off them.

When you consider the injury to Spencer and Tait going to Hibs ( hopefully he'll come back at the end of January) we need to strengthen the midfield too. Maybe, Arnott is being lined up to step into breach. Over to you John.

The only thing that was going to breech either defence today was a Tall Boy bomb.
Luckily we were awarded a penalty.

Not sure if you are showing your age there or your knowledge of RAF armaments Laughing I'd go for the Grand Slam just to be on the safe side Wink

Chucking Mills Bombs out of a plane wouldn't have made any difference.
